Ahaha I forgot this is Ryung TvP-ing. He is good TvT but all he does is 1-1-1's and other cheese in TvP.

yeah i am actually sick of the constant crying about all-ins on teamliquid

what do the korean broadcasters do when a player goes all in?

they go OHHHHHHHHHHHH

if everyone played a passive macro game every single game, the game would be as exciting to watch as golf

Not necessarily, BW was 90% macro games and they were very, very fun to watch. It was a slow process of small harass, unit engagements and little tricks occurring all over huge maps that would slowly allow one player to get ahead, and there was much bigger potential for comebacks.

i know how brood war works, thanks

that doesn't change the fact that korean commentators appreciate a move that shows balls of steel, i don't understand why foreigners don't

but i'm a huge july fan so maybe i'm just insane

Double stargate is good, good build by Tassadar, especially the 2nd stargate after the single one was scouted.

its an allinish build because if u dont do any damage then ur pretty much fucked afterwards cus u cant tech into anything which makes taking your 3rd/harassing the z very hard so you cant prevent them from droning up T_T

his build was allinish but his execution was good, his execution showed me that he wouldnt have a problem playing in a macro game

but isn't there a range of damage that can be done? from killing overlords/forcing spores to killing drones, queens and even killing a hatch.. At what point is Tassadar ahead / safe-ish to take a third?

thats hard to say because if its very situational, if your playing vs a solid zerg then killing queens/forcing 3-4 spores per base isnt enought to justify the 2 stargates, u have to kill a base or catch the z off guard so u can kill alot of drones and force ALOT of spores on a base just so u can justify the tech, its a luck based build thats why im not too fond of it.. that being said u should always have these type of builds in ur arsenal because theyre needed if ur playing someone in a long series, i dont agree with using this type of build in a bo1 tho

Well, what build should he have used? Dual Sight is not exactly Protoss-friendly.

TT1 would've have used a 2 base heavy play just like most other protoss in the world (like Hero, MC, JYP, Sage....etc). That map is virtually impossible to take a quick 3rd on unless you cannoned his natural or something. I really don't see why he's complaining.

im not complaining im just trying to tell u guys that morrow didnt get outplayed that game lol, i even defended tassadar when a poster flamed him for being cheesy

was it GuMiHo or GuineaPig that first used the VR Collo deathball vs zerg?

guineapig

IMYounghwa, GSTL

when did younghwa do it? guineapig did it in open season 3 i believe

some game on Crevasse i think. might have been IMSeed though, not sure.

Pretty sure Hongun and Guineapig first used the FFE into double stargate build, not sure about the VR collo deathball though, may very well have been Yongwha.

I am 99% sure Guineapig was the first to do it in the GSL vs Junwi in open season 3. Crevasse wasnt even a map used in the GSL at that point

i think Crevasse was out in the GSTL o.O

idk lol, whatever

I'm 100% sure it was GuineaPig in Open Season 3 on Shakuras in the Ro64 or Ro32

From what I saw, the worst player in that game lost.

Get glasses. I've played Tassadar in Korea he's nowhere near the level of Morrow. He's just pulling out stupid builds with poor execution in these matches.

Who is the one who lost to a stupid build with poor execution? lol

Ok I'll rephrase it. Tassadar is the worst player between the two, he pulled out stupid builds in both matches he played today and he won against Morrow with a poorly executed all in that totally relied on Morrow not being prepared, hence didn't require any deep preparation or response to what his opponent was doing. In short I'm saying Tassadar is playing like a scrub.

You need to calm the hell down. Morrow played worse and lost, that's it.

If he lost cause he played worse then I wouldn't be so upset about the result of the match. Still fun how people fail to realize how protoss game design is a complete failure. I'm not gonna talk about this anymore since there's too many clueless players who don't understand we're watching poker and not starcraft.

I think a lot of people will agree that Protoss design is bad. It just promotes the ugliest deathball playstyles. There's a reason TvZ is the most popular matchup to watch.

That being said, it's funny you get to whine about balance like you have any right.

You cry like Idra and have even less results to back it up.

Yes but...... BW also had incredibly boring macro games. TvTs were painful to watch. And long drawn out macro games were sometimes very anti-climatic/disappointing

You're actually absolutely right about Protoss being terribly designed. However, TL doesn't like this kind of discussion and it won't lead anywhere so meh. Let's just watch some good games

He wasn't initially complaining about the design of the protoss race though. He was dissing Tasssadar for being a lesser player who got lucky with an all-in build which clearly wasn't the case.

Oh and I find it hilarious since I can't help but recall MorroW blind baneling bust Jinro's 3 rax wall multiple times in TSL3.

Oops, forgot that Tassadar is even worse. But 2 chronoboosted nexus can still do this.
