tassadar only practiced PvT for this division, so yes he's gonna do a cheesy build vs zerg. Big deal. You don't get to the code a finals by being a scrub, which he isn't.

More like everything about his play has gotten worse since leaving TSL, I think.

He's died to basically the same kind of push two games in a row because of the same overall plan.

From what I saw, the worst player in that game lost.

Get glasses. I've played Tassadar in Korea he's nowhere near the level of Morrow. He's just pulling out stupid builds with poor execution in these matches.

Who is the one who lost to a stupid build with poor execution? lol

Ok I'll rephrase it. Tassadar is the worst player between the two, he pulled out stupid builds in both matches he played today and he won against Morrow with a poorly executed all in that totally relied on Morrow not being prepared, hence didn't require any deep preparation or response to what his opponent was doing. In short I'm saying Tassadar is playing like a scrub.

You need to calm the hell down. Morrow played worse and lost, that's it.

If he lost cause he played worse then I wouldn't be so upset about the result of the match. Still fun how people fail to realize how protoss game design is a complete failure. I'm not gonna talk about this anymore since there's too many clueless players who don't understand we're watching poker and not starcraft.

I don't like protoss game design personally, but Tassadar didn't randomly decide to throw down the second stargate on a whim. Don't take away credit when one player completely mindgames the other.

Pretty sure Hongun and Guineapig first used the FFE into double stargate build, not sure about the VR collo deathball though, may very well have been Yongwha.

I am 99% sure Guineapig was the first to do it in the GSL vs Junwi in open season 3. Crevasse wasnt even a map used in the GSL at that point

CALM BEFORE THE STORM

Both Ryung and Tassadar have yet to play on this map in the GSL

Oh Calm…why you no have more games. We'll forget the map for a second, and focus on the race wins instead I guess.

Ryung's 7-10 vP overall, while Tassaadr's 5-8….

Ok, lets just watch this game instead

One thing I want to point out though. A lot of people claim this map is super powerful for Protoss. Well in PvT, its less that the map is great PvT, but more that the maP is great OzvT or SangHovT. Take those 2 out, things change quickly.

na morrow didnt play worse he just got caught off guard by a luck based build, cloud just comes off extremely agressive but he means well : D

its an allinish build because if u dont do any damage then ur pretty much fucked afterwards cus u cant tech into anything which makes taking your 3rd/harassing the z very hard so you cant prevent them from droning up T_T

his build was allinish but his execution was good, his execution showed me that he wouldnt have a problem playing in a macro game

but isn't there a range of damage that can be done? from killing overlords/forcing spores to killing drones, queens and even killing a hatch.. At what point is Tassadar ahead / safe-ish to take a third?

thats hard to say because if its very situational, if your playing vs a solid zerg then killing queens/forcing 3-4 spores per base isnt enought to justify the 2 stargates, u have to kill a base or catch the z off guard so u can kill alot of drones and force ALOT of spores on a base just so u can justify the tech, its a luck based build thats why im not too fond of it.. that being said u should always have these type of builds in ur arsenal because theyre needed if ur playing someone in a long series, i dont agree with using this type of build in a bo1 tho

Well, what build should he have used? Dual Sight is not exactly Protoss-friendly.

TT1 would've have used a 2 base heavy play just like most other protoss in the world (like Hero, MC, JYP, Sage....etc). That map is virtually impossible to take a quick 3rd on unless you cannoned his natural or something. I really don't see why he's complaining.

You know that it's the same thing for protoss agianst terran early game. Complete guessing game. I really dont know what point you're trying to make. is it that protoss is OP or just that theres too much guessing going on in teh game in general?

My point is every matchup with a protoss in it has too many gamble aspects in it, sometimes from both sides. They just totally failed to design protoss and that's why we see terrible protoss players winning against better ones and insanely good protoss players losing to scrubs.

what do the korean broadcasters do when a player goes all in?

they go OHHHHHHHHHHHH

if everyone played a passive macro game every single game, the game would be as exciting to watch as golf

Not necessarily, BW was 90% macro games and they were very, very fun to watch. It was a slow process of small harass, unit engagements and little tricks occurring all over huge maps that would slowly allow one player to get ahead, and there was much bigger potential for comebacks.

I've hated this forever too. It's just frustrating knowing that that natural is going to get sieged up, and the entire point of the game becomes the ability of the non-T to defend it. It's zzzzz. I want it out of the map pool already. I'm sick of it.
