Didn't people get free HQ for these up and down matches? Im watching on Twitch so not sure.

I really appreciate Seeker's work with the LR threads, but his results ALWAYS have format errors. If you read this, please use the "preview" function

totally agree. they destroyed nani's chances in gsl and just took away a big thing for nothing. must be their pride is worth human lives

Way to totally exaggerate a situation.
Naniwa was 0-10 in GSL matches anyway.

I have nothing against morrow and wish him well in Code-A, but the best players should go trough to Code-S. Imho thankfully that happened today. Bomber and Gumiho (specially bomber) just a level higher than everybody else.

That they played that game at the Blizzard Cup is the exception, not this. Them not playing these games is not strange at all, given that they've never played unnecessary games at any of the previous Up & Down seasons.

Don't compare apples to oranges. The Blizzard Cup is much different than Up-and-Downs.
Also, they didn't play out the entire Up & Down in October either, if you look at Group C. So GOM is actually consistent in their approach of playing/skipping games in regards to GSL.
edit: see the post above as well.

I wonder why people who hate the GSL so much are still watching it. Don't you have any self respect to not support the very thing you despise? LOOOLs. Or is it too much like a drug where you have to watch because you need to and end up getting angry at these things? xD
haha. But in all seriousness, I thought it was long past time to bury the hatchet.

Wut, you guys fussing about Naniwa AGAIN? :O..... I'm outta here.
|
Blizzard Cup was more of show matches i believe, which is why they wanted everybody to play every match out. Thats what their idea was and probably blizzards intention as well but i guess everyone is just gonna hate, ignoring the fact that GOM had to take action due to the reaction of netizens in korea and around the world.
GSL always do not play out useless up&down matches anyways. Gonna leave this thread now.

Come on guys, keep the Naniwa stuff out of this LR.
Blizzard cup had every game played because GOM felt that the nature of the tournament (Best of the best invite) dictated a need for more games to be seen. They wanted to showcase the best in the world.
This is just their qualification. This is not a special invite tournament like the BCup, and as such there was no reason to play the extra games.

Yes, the live HQ was free, but the VODs aren't, which is pretty bad since GOM advertised them as being part of the November season back when it began, and now they're only available to people who bought 2012 Season 1.

Guys, The Blizzard Cup was apparently the biggest event that GOM prepared to round up and CELEBRATE year 2011 where the best 10 players of SC2 fought and showcase their amazing skills. It's just so absurd to compare Blizzard Cup with up/down matches; I'm at a loss for words. Well haters gonna hate I guess. but if you're gonna hate, don't trash on GSL or any GOM related threads plz? thank you.

haha. But in all seriousness, I thought it was long past time to bury the hatchet. Hey, I hate GOM's decision about Naniwa (and how it was handled even more) but I won't punish myself by stopping watching. And I can disagree about this specific decision and still think they're awesome at a whole. (but I don't argue about it here anyway so I doubt this post was directed at me :D)

Always bet against foreigners rule still stands. Better luck next time Morrow.

Yeah just be mad at GOM and nitpick every single thing they do. Get a life, instead of being so blind and full of misdirected hate.

Well... since someone needs to say it. Morrow lost but that's because:
1) Morrow was jet-lagged... for half a month. 2) The Koreans leaked his replays. 3) The Koreans cheesed Morrow because they can't win straight up.
|
I am so sad that ryung lost, but man he's been slumping hard the last season, hopefully he can get some rest and relax a bit now that he's in code a and doesn't have to play for a good while.
