When good players play each other in a mental game, they induce mistakes, and mma's multitasking is one of the biggest forces that causes players to fall apart in the GSL. It's not hard to appreciate or understand. I don't consider the last set or the finals bad. It may even well be the best GSL finals ever, with such an amazing come-back situation. I also don't think it's hard to understand that this was far from a perfect game from either player, though I can see how the tension and excitement of the finals could make one say so. lemme guess... are you still butthurt about Naniwa? Let it go man, it's clouding your judgement. Because I'm not of the opinion that this set was perfect, I'm butthurt about NaNiWa? Uh. See, this is why poking fun at people who call anything perfect is fun; you get all kinds of hilarious retorts, even if you openly agree that it may be the best thing ever. Get the fuck off your high horse man. Let me try to show you what kind of douchebaggery you are doing: 1. Beauty contest, points at winner and says "Hey, I've seen much prettier girls." 2. A friend got A in a test. Says "why no A+?" 3. Someone buys a car. Says "pfft... Ferraris piss all over this" ...and to top it off, annoys everyone by saying "look, I'm just telling these are not PERFECT, am I wrong?" What will it take to realize that your stupid remarks are not welcome here, even if they are true? Go post it in your blog, write a huge paragraph telling us why you thought this finals sucked, whatever. Don't piss off people in the LR thread celebrating a great series to close the year. I hope there aren't many people like you when I'm celebrating my graduation in a few weeks. "hey, where's the magna cum-laude?" sigh....
Seems a bit of an extreme response to the other poster. You mad or something? I personally thought the games we're a bit over hyped as well. A lot of the games were kind of a yawn and i personally perfer tastosis' casting style on normal days as opposed to when they do the finals. It almost feels like were forced in saying it was the best game of sc2 ever. Every finals that they do whether good or bad they tend to give too much praise or hype which is completely understandable considering they are the most important games of their season. They were good games especially the last one i enjoyed them and this was the best gsl finals but not the best series ever or highest level of play we've ever seen as they were claiming.

Wish the vod for game 7 was free and not 1

I often make this contrast between Mvp and MMA. Mvp is a solid player who wins by just being better than the other player at a standard straight up game. MMA on the other hand while more mistake prone, makes up for it with clutch and exciting plays. He's the type of person who usually either loses in disappointing fashion or wins in spectacular fashion. I could swear your were talking about MKP with that last sentence.

MMA's wins are by far more epic than MKP's. MKP's spectacular wins are usually just a couple of scrappy base trades. MMA's are usually quite miraculous and IMO shows his finesse more than MKP's

Eh I still feel like Nestea Scfou is better.

If you are comparing MKP and MMA, I feel MKP is only good at base trades, he is best in that kind of game, MMA is more refined, look at his all ins, or when he pulls SCVs vs MVP. But when it comes to multi-tasking, MVP hands down he is every where at once (not sure about FIN yet). I feel that even MMA's multi tasking is lacking, he has like marines hitting extractor when doing drops, thinks like this, and he fails to pay attention to like his hellions out on map. I feel MMA just has better preparation coming into games, because he can really own MVP, and this is not the first time lol.

1st game of Leenock/Jakji and game 7 of this one are probably best GSL finals matches. Usually they are not good haha, too one-sided

Totally agree with this. MMA has more up and downs, thus allowing him to beat the very best yet lose to some lower level players

Eitherway, there were not enough lead changes for that, I feel MVP always winning.

disappointed thought IU was at finals TT

Not such great games until the last one, but amazing storyline.
I was rooting for DRG due to his amazing comeback, but MMA won and congratulations though I can't feel happy at all after seeing DRG's amazing comeback...
-sigh-

Ahhh. Biggest mistake ever to fall asleep after game 3. I thought the series was over for sure. Gonna have to watch the VODs, but it would have so much better to watch live.

Alot of people complaining that the games were over-hyped. In reality, they probably were, but that is not what finals SC2 is all about. Just like many sporting tournaments, finals games are often cagey and measured affairs, with nerves playing a big part. This series is no exception. However:
- In game1, it was a pretty sizeable comeback by MMA (but a mistake by DRG). - We were treated to an absolutely epic moment in game2. Whether the move was good, over-risky, or whichever, it was ballsy and flashy. - In games 3-6, it wasn't the highest quality games, but you can't argue in terms of drama, 3-0 to 3-3! - Game7 was an absolute back-and-forth and was crazy until the final gg. Yes, you can say the players maybe can play better but the excitement and drama was what finals are all about. I was standing when that final battle was occurring, willing MMA on!
For the record, I am a big terran fanboy and naturally am super pumped. If MMA had lost game7, I may have just smashed something - such is the drama and emotions that the games elicit.
