Contrary to popular belief Stephano is not from the States, any mindless spam asserting otherwise after this time (19:48 KST/ 5:48 AM EST/ 10:48 GMT) will meet a moderator response. We have enough confusing spam posting in LR threads these days. Lets try to keep the love for everyone's favourite French zerg reasonable.
And as always: - No player bashing. - No caster bashing. - No balance whining.
Enjoy the games. |

i dont think mvp's build was strong it was just stephano having only lings on the ground and not even a nest/spire.

I think DRG can provide more entertaining games in RO6 so I wouldn't mind at all if MC loses, as much as I love him. But not saying Stephano can't.

Stephano even went for a good build against mass helion marine, he didnt expand to the third too fast and tried to defend on 2 base getting up to infestors, had like 4 spines at his entrance, but he just got rolled over. Or MVP is just a better player. Nothing overpowered...
It wasn't only MVP being the better player but also Stephano's stubborness in skipping several levels of tech to go directly lingfestor. He can do it with other Terrans, but MVP has an internal clock timing.

<3 tells me MVP, Stephano and MC pushes through in any order: MVP because he's.. well, MVP. Stephano for being one of the foreigner hopefuls. MC. because he's the boss.
Please please XD

He´s an emotional guy that does emotional commentary, that´s why we love him. It would be totally boring if every caster had the same commentary style. Most arent mad at him. He is talking over Wolf a bit though. I like his casting other than that
the thing i dont like about khaldors casting is the way he starts yelling whenever theres a medium sized engagement. and he does it even when the outcome is very clear or the game is already over, as was the case with stephano mvp just now. i dont think he genuinely gets excited it feels kinda forced. when he is calm and talking in his normal voice he isnt even that bad.

I'm sure even MVP wants MC to win.
If only DRG And Stephano could advance :[ MC>Steph
If DRG win = 1- DRG 2- MVP 3- MC

K, so I'm supposed to root for MC now?

Just about everyone would have GGed after the first hellion + marine attack. Such determination and perseverance should not be shunned, but applauded. Tell that to Fantasy. Lmao I still remember seeing Fantasy get early pooled and he lifted off his CC and rax and floated away. I remember that too xD ..sadly, he is not boxer...

People are starting to stretch 'build order win' a little bit to far. Soon every single game will be claimed as a build order win
Indeed, just like every timing attack is called cheese now.

So I'm probably asking an old, answered question, but what happens now since MVP was the WCG winner?
|
Most of you are misreading that game pretty badly, what killed Stephano was not positioning the 2 extra spines in range. If they were positioned correctly then the game would have continued fairly evenly.
|
I think MC wants to win this one because he would be facing RO4 (assuming he beats RO6 game) MVP again.
NVM DRG wins then... T_T

A simple bane nest or roach warren would have saved him, but MVP knew he wouldn't have one. Yeah I was really wondering if MVP watched any of Stephano's games. Stephano seems to crush terrans who aren't prepared for his upgraded ling infestor style.
I seen Stephano defend the exact same push but the map is horrble to defend it becuase of the ramp Stephanos lings cant get a good surround

Stephano even went for a good build against mass helion marine Not sure if serious? Maybe getting a Baneling Nest would have been a good idea? No, of course, it's imbalance, even after BFH damage reduction... You guys are really hopeless. Hellions are unchanged vs lings, but still not imbalanced imo. Baneling nest stops that rush. Stop with the QQ. This is what happens when people know your build. Blue flame helions are just about extinct now

MVP.

I'm glad that MVP has decided to give people a little more fanservice. He thinks that he isn't very popular despite his dominance because he plays so standard usually. Hopefully he realizes how loved he is across the world!
