Welcome to the  Korean StarLeague Daily! The KSL is sponsored by own3d.tv and can be viewed as an European event series that features the Korean Pro-Teams. From Monday to Thursday there will be a single player competition. Each of the 8 Pro-Teams will send out one player and they will play each other in a single-elimination tournament-style bracket. All of the games will be best of three. The winning player receives a $100 prize, with $50 going to the runner-up! Friday through Sunday there will be team-matches, which will use a Winner's League, Best of 11, format. The winning team takes home a prize of $200!

Nice job maintaining the thread VirgilSC2 but can you cut back on the spoilers. Especially for the results from the previous days. I don't think anybody is so spoiler-phobic to require spoiler hiding for not only each round but each individual match. That's just overkill.

I love the casting Khaldor!However I think you need to be a bit more careful about names, especially since the overlay isn't working properly and the blizzard overlay has Korean names, it tends to get confusing.

Great casting Khaldor, but you're a bit loud in comparison to the game sound, in my opinion. Others might not agree. Thanks though!

Khaldor is atleast beating all the featured streams at the moment, but I agree with you: this tournament series does not get the love it deserves.
Many entertaining games, the chance to see players with not much exposure that are actually really good, awesome casting by Khaldor and even better casting when ToD, Nani etc join him - I love it

That's very true, I didn't really check the viewers, I just meant the LR! 3k viewers is pretty sizeable though so I guess it's not that bad :3

btw about the stream lag - it was unwatchable for me in Chrome, tried Firefox and it's working without problems on HD. Guess it's because of the flash plugin...

maybe you're just bad at listening? He talked about Finale plenty, but given Ace was dictating almost the whole of the match it's pretty obvious that he becomes the focus of the commentary given Finale was stuck responding and hoping to turtle up to a good Colossus count...

sC had another relapse on his pneumothorax issues. Not sure if he's able to play again yet but he's certainly been laid up recently (was tweeting during the GSL finals about really wanting to be able to play)
Surprised they don't have room for one of DRG or Keen though.
Worth considering that at least several teams are on a kind of holiday break at the moment so perhaps someone was unavailalbe.

Ace vs Dream was on TDA, Ace vs finale on Daybreak
Ace vs Dream was the game with that cute bunker with the scouting probe at Ace's natural, where Ace decided to just go and kill Dream with his 3 gates

Really interesting build from monster there though it seems he cut a lot of corners to get that many mutas that quickly. Ace could have done a lot more pressure certainly.

Apart from his choking in Code S(it was a very hard group though), Curious has been doing extremely well lately. He's capable of dominating any player tbh.

Not sure. But reading the KOR chat, the coaches just announce what map is next. I believe the player chooses the map
EDIT: I think players do choose the map. Noblesse chose Crossfire so he could 1/1/1 Ace, but it failed :/

Yep, pretty bad decision making indeed. But Monster had very few Mutas anyway, if Bomber lifted all the building, the base race would have been in favor of Bomber by a huge margin.

Bomber was clutch but monster sort of screwed that game up by not paying attention to his units at Bomber's base.
Bomber simply had better crisis management and deserved to win the game.

Those spine crawlers and Infestors could probably have held Bomber off long enough for Monster to kill all of Bomber's buildings.
Still, if either of them had sneaked a worker out to build geysers/bases/depots around the map the game could have ended very differently.

KSL Team seems to always deliver epic epic matches.
One question though, any one found a way to navigate the horror that is the VOD system on Khaldor channel on the Own3D site? I missed the oGs v MVP last week as well as the individual tournament yesterday and want to catch up. But it's really frustrating to try to find the VODs you are looking for there.

It was that he ran by two sieged tanks and just let his Zerglings get splattered on their way out, without even bothering to kill the tanks, or the base mining next to them which made me facepalm.

Yeah, MVP definitely could have taken this. However, this is the kind of event that gets players like  finale some recognition, and from a team standpoint, I can see why they fielded the players they did.
