Code A has no champion anymore, just a preliminary round for code S, so it is basically just one tournament with one champion. Dropping to code A doesn't mean much also, you can still win code S next season.
Code S should be called GSL, and it is better than just Code S anyway. You still need to differentiate the players that have a chance to win the GSL (code S), and the players in the qualifying bracket (code A). Code A/S is as good a designation as any other, and the audience is already used to these terms. Current Code A players and MVP both have chance to win next season's code S, MVP just got seeded better. Code A is just preliminary round for next season which got played before the end of current season to save time. So that means it is actually important to differentiate the players THIS SEASON who can win the GSL. Otherwise it's more confusing to say that there are 64 players but only the top 32 are competing for the title this season, while the bottom 32 (along with the 9-32 places) are in the qualifier bracket for next season. Code A/S is essentially already shorthand for qualifier bracket/main tournament, so I'm not sure what the point would be to change it. For this season, MVP also can't win GSL. That's not the difference from him with Code A players. That's exactly the designation. He's top 8 in Code S so he doesn't fall to Code A and doesn't have to qualify for next season. The code A/S serves two purposes: 1. It denotes at the beginning of the tournament, which players are actually competing to be the GSL champion (code S). 2. And it identifies who are the players that are trying to qualify for next season, Code A players (including those that fall from code S).
So MVP just got seeded better like I mentioned. It is just the same tournament. Unlike previous format, dropping to code A means that you can't win code S next season. Now dropping to Code A, you still have chance to win code S next season, just seeded in lower level of bracket. I just think GSL is more catchy than Code S.

Why the hell would you ever play economically greedy against Bomber? Even if the map is literally 50 billion miles long and it's impossible for him to reach your base for the first hour of the match, I would still not play greedy because he'll somehow drop a fucking bomb from the sky to kill me.
