But in an already small but growing community of electronic competitive gaming there shouldn't be such widespread hate. Seriously, if you don't like it tune out. You don't see hockey fans who hate soccer go to a world cup bar and yell at the screen asking when the games going to end do you? :/ Respect its all that needs to be shown FFS.

Similarly, if a person is a fan of SC2, they do like esports. You don't need to watch every game. No, this is like being a fan of hockey and then spending all day saying "BASKETBALL TAKES NO SKILL AND ONLY FAGS PLAY IT!" Nobody is forcing you to watch this, but if you do, don't be a dick about it.

The players in SSF4 are equally as talented in their game as others are in SC2. In fact, a new player to SC2 has a better chance of beating a pro in SC2 than they do in a fighting game. These discussions and outbursts wouldn't even happen if tournament organizers took a hint and stopped interrupting their events and mixing in content that isn't supposed to be mixed in. As far as I'm concerned, until they do take a hint, I won't have a problem with negative reactions.

I have a question though. Is SF4 the premier fighter? And if so, then why? Because honestly, I think games like Arcana Heart 3 or Dead or Alive 4 are more technically demanding then SF4. And yes, I played all these games somewhat competitively for quite some time but dropped SF4 because - in my opinion - the other fighting games are more demanding. Anybody care to enlighten me pls?

And nobody said you have to, but it doesn't mean you have to shit on the others. Because some people do actually want to support esports as a whole and enjoy the other games.

They are not asking you to like it, just respect it and walk away and watch TV for a short time if you can't stomach watching it, it's not rocket science to figure the more big games that are in e-sports the more people the more fans the more money the bigger e-sports get's.

SC2 has a huge scene so tourney organizers seem to be lumping in finals of other games to increase viewers (ala LoL at IPL) EVO had around 100k viewers so I think they can manage themselves when there are a bunch of big names at the tournament. The only really big ones here were the guys in the finals and Laugh
