As much as I don't like PuMa, I can't imagine him losing against someone like Nightend... They played in the group stages and it was light and day between them

What is this "hype" you are talking about? :p That's wonderful and all, but I doubt he's going to post results as he goes on. Most of his builds have been figured out. If he doesn't innovate he'll be destroyed. He also had a rough time with the GSL, and will probably continue to have one. The hype is the amount of blown out of reality statements regarding his skill. For example, this top 5 protoss business. Seeing as you're the only one to reply to this, part of my statement is already true. If I had said that a couple weeks ago there would've been a shitstorm. Not any more.

Cool to see Nightend finally go far in a big tournament, but the same would have gone for Naama (alhtough he has already been to one big final). Starcraft is not always about the "big guns". Next item on the agenda: Seiplo knocking out Hero haha

A lot of great players met other great players in the beginning (first group stage was ok) and some less known players kinda' snuck in with a great deal of luck. For example, Naama edged out Haypro, Thorzain and White-ra 2-1 to get this far, while Puma had to take out much more established players like DRG, Huk, Idra and Genius. Nightend already lost to Puma 2-0 earlier, and has pretty much cruised through the bracket, his hardest match-up was against the merely promising Sase in PvP... It's fine not to use seeds, but then the bracket would need to be constructed in such a way that it guarantees that the best players don't eliminate each other before the end. Whichever way you want to go about doing that...
