MLG Providence Day 3 Live Report Thread - Page 505
Forum Index > StarCraft 2 Tournaments |
Here we go again. This weekend is about good games and good fun. Don't rain on that parade. Play nice guys. Here's the very standard and friendly: - NO Balance Whine. - NO Player Bashing. - NO Caster Bashing. - NO BM whatsoever. Breaking these rules (from pg 166 forward) will be met with severe punishment.

Statistically, the better players will be seeded higher, ie higher seeds play tougher people, if leenocks run was harder, it was a flaw in MLG system (many good players not seeded, due to them not playing much in season) and a massive design flaw in the system as such

All I was trying to imply is that he's been devoid of any major victories and was never really a favorite to win this tournament. Hope you're all enjoying the tournament. Now Ima go curl up at Tastosis' feet and watch the last games! Hey, I've always been very critical about your zerg bias, but that's because I think it hurts the games sometimes. In this particualr series I don't think it did, it was damn fine, but when Idra plays in particular, you just seem to go completely overboard with the bias and it really becomes a turnoff. Esentially because it reaches the point in which you stop noting the good things the other player does, and the bad things your favored player does and it goes pretty bad from there. I'm really not bashing you, I just think this is an aspect of your cast that you could definitely improve on. Apart from that, you're a pretty good caster and you're doing a damn fine job this MLG so congratulations for that.

Even though that's not what you were thinking. Granted he did not win all 46, he did play them. If he lost to bad players he would have played a lot more and have a lot more wins.

The only MLG event champion not in the champion's bracket because MLG arbitrarily decided that a first place finish is only worth 1200 points. Whatever, they're changing the system next year, so all this is moot. I'm talking more toward the beginning of seasons where points aren't as inflated. Someone could come in and be one of those one hit wonders and not be consistent. The further the season goes on though, it does start rewarding people who place high and are consistent over multiple MLGs.
