Here we go again. This weekend is about good games and good fun. Don't rain on that parade. Play nice guys. Here's the very standard and friendly:
- NO Balance Whine. - NO Player Bashing. - NO Caster Bashing. - NO BM whatsoever.
Breaking these rules (from pg 166 forward) will be met with severe punishment. |

They met in WCG where they went 1-1.

MVP will do a 2-base tank/marine/raven push this game.

sometimes you gotta love TL-LR-threads MVP knew a gateway phoenix all in was coming, and he stopped it COLD before it could pick up any momentum. That was NOT a preemptive 1 base all in. making tanks in TvP is in *almost* all cases indicating an allin or some contain play.

Nice timing from MVP, although that was pretty much a BO loss from MC. That's because MC almost always uses those strats, whereas MVP is an all-rounder. If MC can show he can play any style as well as MVP, you can start accusing people of double standards.
It's completely wrong. MVP's TvP is gimmicky as hell. It's either a one base all in, or a greedy as fuck 3 base before gas. Guaranteed. If he plays normally he loses.
Don't get me wrong, the guy is a god, but don't be like MC is all that is bad in the world while MVP is a saint.

The hypocrisy is rampant. Someone create a pdf that outlines which all-ins we should applaud and by whom, and which all-ins we should condemn. Thank you.

NOBODY goes for Phoenix in PvT to all-in. Phoenix is specifically designed to a) counter Starport play and b) to open into a standard game.
And guess what MVP didn't build , a Starport. My guess if MVP knows ( like alot of guys ) MC like to go Stargate if he feels 1-1-1 incoming so he goes something that crushes Phoenix. MC had like 8 Phoenix basically beeing useless.

If he lost that army, it was over no questions.
he was actually still making scv's during almost that entire push, with just a few little blips.

Pretty much this. What I don't understand though is where else was he looking for those 7-8 seconds it took for the sentry to get killed? There was nothing else worth looking at. Only thing i can think of was flying his phoenix's round the map.
The phoenix were sitting still, so I'm mystified.

Seriously, MVP games are anything but boring. They are masterpiece, a glimpse of what the pinnacle of a player looks like. Cheese, macro games, strategic timings, he has it all! MC on the other hand, mostly all ins. I guess that's not boring for some people!

Common sense isn't very common so most people won't see that.

I forgot, when terrans do it its a "timing push", right?
Mc was playing anti-111 which he HAS to do. He couldnt scout what was going on and got metagamed...

1/1/1 blind counters every protoss 1 base allin except colossus with range, that takes some micro, it's why it was so popular in the gsl for so long, and why toss now expo every chance they get, for MC to 1 base on a map known to be popular for 1/1/1 after he PICKED it is mind boggling, even though it was only a 1/1 lol

Ohh that's right, I was thinking about Naniwa's vs MVP and MVP lost.. and if he lost to MC then it should already eliminate him..
but naniwa vs mvp wasn't part of this tournament

not necessarily. you could be in america rooting for someone in europe

MC is definitely a crowd pleaser as opposed to MVP.... he just plays.. his game.. doesn't say anything. Obviously really safe, strong, standard style in general. Half the time I don't even like MC's Playstyle but his showboating is amazing.
That murloc GIF made MLG... cmon guys. #1 Control in the world is nothing to insult. MC plays to his strength, he is smart.

IM SO SORRY! This is offtopic, but Haypro defeated Nestea? I was litterally looking at the bracket for five minutes (after coming back from church) going through who defeated who. I saw the Haypro bit, went "Oh, he defeated Nestea", walked away, made a sandwhich, then had a mental breakdown when I realized that Haypro defeated Nestea.

I have the same rooting interests. I'd like Leenock to win because he's a young man and it would be touching to watch him get a huge win and have the crowd go crazy for him. I'd like Naniwa to win for the same reason I use to want Idra to win: He's great, and people love to hate him, so it's always fun to watch the reaction when he does well.
