Win in the up and down matches, which consist of the losers of the Ro32 and Ro12. So technically, more than 1 can get into Code S. Yes, the new system really is awesome. It feels much more dynamic in mixing things up, while still providing plenty of options to bounce back right into Code S.

1-1-1 lately is a misnomer used to identify the marine/tank/banshee (and all it's variations) 1-base all-in. In this game, Nada used the Supernova style, which consists of an early expand followed by a marine/banshee/tank/raven push. Another recent example is MVP vs MC in GSL September (I think it's sept) Code S ro32. Prior to that, Supernova used it quite extensively before the marine/tank/banshee off 1-base started to become the more standard way of playing in this type of style.
