desRowfighting.com is hosting a showmatch this wednesday @ 18:00 GMT (+00:00). The matches will be casted by QxG.Axeltoss. The showmatch will be in a best of 5 format. The map pool is composed of MLG map poole played as follows:
Game 1 - MLG Shakuras Plateau Game 2 - MLG Shattered Temple Game 3 - MLG Tal’darim Altar Game 4 - MLG Antiga Shipyard Game 5 - MLG Xel’Naga Caverns
The players featured are TeamLiquid's TLO and myself. The winner will go home with 50$. The money comes from donation made on my site.

desrow improved slightly from what i saw on his stream and although TLO isnt in his best shape (well... that was long time ago), he is still another caliber of player.

Edit: That really sound whiny. Its been a REALLY long time since i seen an epic game on xel'naga because everyone has it figured out. So having it as the tie breaker is saddening, id rather have any GSL map or really anything but Xel'naga (ok maybe not searing crater). And its an ancient map. (pun intended)
Really cheering for you Desrow, gonna be so cool to se you play against one of the very known players on the scene. win or not, i know its gonna be some awesome games.

It's quite mathematical in a way. If your exposure as a player is not proportional to how good people think you are, there will be "hate".
A lot of European fans hate TLO and think of him as a lesser player, believe it or not. Plenty of bullshit was being said during the last Shoutcraft Invitational for example.
Nice job taking game one Desrow. I knew as soon as he stopped tugging around the map you'd win. All those drops were very slowly dying him down. Good job, most people think that a terran is winning when they do multiple pronged drops. That's only if they are actually teching too. It's still an army counter army game.

What you think about "what's winning" the game and what actually is "winning" the game are completely different. It's a showmatch, if he's playing with ghosts using nuke, that's what he wanted to do, he's not screwing around that's TLO he is A GOOD player. Don't down sell and don't upsell.
stop the hating, both are really good players, TLO might be a bit stronger, but desrow really improved since the last time i have seen him play. lets hope for more good games

He placed in TL Open and other weekly tournaments. He hasn't attended very many LANs at all afaik. Whoever wins gets $50, that's a reasonable amount for 1/2 hours of playtime. No reason to think TLO isn't trying.

Game 3: Desrow 5 gate all-ins as TLO goes CC first and holds for about 7-8 minutes before GG (2-1 Desrow)
Game 4: TLO opens fast reactor starport with stim and follows with expand as Desrow goes Nex first. Watching TLO point of view which he's showing insane multi-tasking, literally pressuring Desrow for about the first 10 minutes of that game. Desrow showing some talent to hold but TLO pulls it out (2-2 now for the ace :D)

TLO won very decisively in the ace match. It ended the show match at 2-3 in favor of TLO. Great games by both players and great strategies. Looking forward to more of both them!

The sad part is that it honestly bugs me how little you guys know about professional players. While it may seem that they are screwing around, their not, that much I promise you.
