So are we finally to the point where we can call this a flat upgrade?

MC's been on the decline and Huk has been on the rise, I'm inclined to say he's finally eclipsed him.

Good news, more foreign presence in any tournament is good, especially when its the best foreigners we have to offer.

Not really so much when the push out the only Korean in it....... assuming you don't count select

Considering 5 of the 8 players have KR training/experience and since I don't consider SeleCT to be "Korean"... this might be the BEST non-Korean tournament to date?

I can positively state that I am anticipating HuK more than I did MC.

This kind of undermines your post. TheStC came 3rd and came from the open bracket.

Well, I thought theStc was the best proof of my point.
TheStC's run was way way way more impressive than Huk's, and yet he didn't win.

Naniwa won an MLG from the open bracket. Anyone who makes it into pool play from the open bracket will have not played a ton of games on day two prior to their pool games. At most like two extra series. Day three, which is the day that theSTC lost to Huk on, they were both evenly rested.

I like every event which has HuK in it but isn't this event just 2 days after his Code S games next week? I fear he might overtravel again... Sometimes it's better to skip a tournament because the next MLG and Dreamhack are also coming soon.

Sniper we don't know huk's or stephano's salaries and assumptions are not good arguments, that salary has not much to do with the debate either

then neither does the tournament winnings.

unless you can somehow prove that tournament prize pool directly relates to higher tournament competition.

what are you talking about? salary is not in direct immediate connection with performance. sponsors don't change salaries immediately after small periods. HuK would still earn well if he didn't win anything for 3 months, and Millenium recently outbid Col on Stephano so probably he earns well too...

the arguing was about who's more "succesful", and winnings is a way to determine that

not the only way, but certainly a way- that's why one shouldn't make statements like "huk's the most succesful". because there are more ways to decide.

Winning$ is a terrible way to determine success because it scales horribly. Are you suggesting that Stephano's IPL win is equal to 6 MLG wins? I hope not. IPL3 and ESCW were huge wins for Stephano, but just because their prize money is bigger doesn't make them more prestigious than Dreamhack, IEM, MLG, etc.

dont bother trying to argue with him. he just doesnt get it.

to me it seems you don't get what i'm saying, so really what's the point of stating this? you think if you agree with someone else you'll be right?

anyways, i'm off. good night

oh, the irony.

you don't know what irony means

Pretty sure HuK has more LAN wins than Stephano, plus HuK is in Code S and Stephano is not.

HuK is the most successful foreigner.

pretty sure Stephano won more money than Huk without even trying to enter the gsl in just 2 weeks, is 4-0 vs huk and has about as many tourney wins even if not all lan. but clearly huk is the most succesful foreigner.

or you're just biased huk fan. hmm i wonder which one is more true of the 2 statements

Stephano has gotten 2 wins in 2 weeks, huk got 2 in 1 week against good players. Whenever Stephano played a code S player, except for huk he lost.

i guess MKP is not code S then right? why the hell do you argue if you don't know the data?

and to that Hal0ween brainiac, i wasn't defending Stephano at all, but i guess it was too much for you to comprehend. cuz you think it's blasphemy to think huk is not better than everyone, which is idiotic obviously.
