Tassadar got through? No shit. He's always managed to be able to pull out the all-ins in times of adversity.

Knowing Tassadar's playstyle, Squirtle just has to have a good anti-4 gate build to be able to sweep this series.

Edit: I didn't mean to sound so harsh, just that I'm really not a fan of his playstyle. Any Protoss in Code A would be positive and he's been on the losing side of all-ins before. (notably the 1/1/1 in the up and downs and to Yoda in Code A)

Got to say, when I made the player list I did not expect either of these guys to get to the finals, I thought Squirtle was a lock for the Championship Bracket but I was very surprised both them made it. It adds more excitement (imo) then if something predictable happened like Taeja vs CoCa or something.

What about all of you?

I think it might be close to unanimous that people were rooting for oGs.Fin (fOrGG) to get his Code A spot.

I know I was, but realistically, I expected Taeja to at least make it to the Round of 8.

I really hope squirtle makes it, i'm not sure, from what I've seen of late from Tassadar, that he has what it takes, he might win because of PvP, but realistically squirtle is someone capable of making protoss proud.

I was surprised Coca played as badly as he did today, especially in a matchup he's normally very good at. I was personally rooting for Life to make it, but since he didn't I'm glad the finalists are two players who don't already have Code S/A, and they're not Terran. I'm rooting for Squirtle.

Haha. Diamond, you silly person. You've now put it one day ahead.

To answer your question though, I think it would be infinitely more exciting to have two non-code A/S players be in the finals. The two finalists will now be playing a Bo7 for 1st place, $450 and the main price, the Code A spot. So, even though I love TaeJa and CoCa, I'm much happier that now that Squirtle and Tassadar are in the finals.

I do think that the finals would have been most hyped if ForGG managed to make it through and if it weren't PvP. Given the way the championship bracket shaped up, ForGG vs Sirius would have been pretty damn cool to see.

Overall, I feel that Squirtle is a more well-rounded player who doesn't rely on gimmicky builds as often as Tassadar does; he typically plays standard, and his unit control has always been excellent. Also, he seems to have better PvT than Tassadar (who is really prone to falling to Terran cheese), which will fare well for him in the GSL if he makes it. His PvZ is a little weak, though. I haven't seen his PvP in forever, but hopefully it's excellent.
