I'm not familiar with basketball, sorry. In football there is a clear distinction made between, for example, South American players who stay in the local leagues vs those who go to Europe. There's no similar terminology though.

???... South American soccer players will always be South American no matter how long they stay in Europe. It's just the consensus that a player's true explosion is found in the best level, in soccer's case, that's european leagues. But in soccer a player never "becomes european", unless he actually changes nationalities. Or maybe I just misread you.

BTW, I think this is one of the silliest discussions in all of TL. Why would a player change nationalities LOL. He's getting the best training, but he's still representing his home country. It seems like the inverse situation is consensus in SC, but it seems silly to me.

that's not true even though most likely they will retain the style of where they learned football so people keep referring to that. actually football pros get second and third citicenships all the time for playing in countries long enough! Messi could've played for spain, but he choose argentina. Because he feels like he belongs in argentina. The country sees him as an argentine. So he is argentine, despite what people say.

Slush, I don't know how to assess him at all...

The statistics says he's kinda average, but these games looked really nice. I'd like to see more of him in general.

To be fair, he got unlucky the first game. The 2nd game was dual sight, just ridiculous to deal with as protoss against zerg.

Slush plays his own style, which means that he can own players that he "shouldn't" own because his style counters theirs, and then lose to players he "shouldn't" lose to because their style counters his.

hes shown an ability to beat good players in clutch situations. Hes really the only one of the lot that people often claim shudnt be seeded into pool play who actually doesnt deserve the crap they get. Just needs to get a bit consistent or solid whatever you want to call it.

Yea it's weird, nobody talks about him but then he places well in every MLG and takes games off Koreans. Most underrated player in all of SC2 imo - people literally never talk about him as a factor.
