If SaSe only got seeded into pool D, he could be first in his group, now to face the real challenge in the group of death.

He's going into replays so you don't stare at the crowd while the players get ready for the second game...

Tyler actually fought his way through open bracket Last MLG (won 9 series or so) and Incontrol didn't win anything + Incontrol is living in a pro house when he trains 8h's a day. See the difference?

Beating diamond players in the open bracket is the same as pool play?

Diamond players?

Looks like MarineKing, SaSe, Trimaster etc. are all diamond players then!

Did Tyler defeat them in the open bracket? If so that's quite impressive.

You white knights for incontrol realize that the people who hate him because of his play and his status as a pro gamer.

Its nothing personal.

The hate is valid... He is on a pro team, is sponsored, gets paid, in the pool play but losing nonstop.
If any player on any sports team does bad or so long... that player will get traded or cut. Its sad that teams continue to juice out the money for players who isnt putting up the representation and production the team needs.

I don't hate incontrol. It is the nature of sports and competition. You are a "pro"... if you don't play well.. you should be criticized.

Yet people don't hate on people who lose early in the Open Bracket. They hate on iNcontrol because his games are broadcast.

iNcontrol is in the Open Bracket because he took a bronze medal at Dallas. This basically means that he stays in pool play for the rest of the year. He isn't given that spot over anyone due to any other reason then he earned the points to hold it. You can agrue that the system is flawed but that isn't iNcontrols fault.

A lot of players take shit for losing early in the Open, Destiny, the unfortunate Koreans. As for the system not being iNcontrols fault, there's probably a point(somewhere around 15 consecutive lost games) where you step down from Pool play. He hasn't seen any improvement in 4 months, I know it's a money tournament and he's sponsor'd, but it might be hurting his recovery.

Except that that Tyler hasn't been taken up a spot in pool play for a better player for 3 MLGs

Tyler is objectively as bad as incontrol.

Tyler doesn't practice and makes it out of open brackets, so yeah I will give Tyler more credit than Incontrol.

Furthermore, if anyone wants to know why inControl is singled out specifically, someone else mentioned it as well earlier: The guy has made it a point to make 'jokes' that are in extremely poor taste, as well as constantly criticizing others, and taking things far too personally and getting insulted(Remember the NASL finals when people didn't cheer for some joke he made, and he got mad about it when the crowd laughed at something else?)

Don't get me wrong, I actually do think he's funny, and I wouldn't mind if he was bronze or a pro as far his character goes. But the fact is, there is a lot of potential quality that goes to waste by pitting someone against other players who are clearly far above his level. And most of this hate, even if it is personal, would be overlooked if he delivered good games.

Last thing I'll say on it, and now I'm going back to watching.

Incontrol looked like a platinum player. I'm sorry, but when the open bracket has players like white ra who has to meet someone as amazing as stephano early on, followed by him meeting someone as amazing as theStC in the very next round, I feel like I'm being robbed by the pool play having some seriously poor quality players(And please don't call this hating, because anyone who's watched any of his recent MLG games can tell you he has performed EXTREMELY poorly for a while now.) getting high spots and a much more relaxed schedule, while far better players meet eachother so early in the tournament they have almost no opportunity to make it through.

MLG should just drop another spot per pool, and open that up for invites that aren't necessarily korean. Players like White-ra, Stephano, demuslim, etc could get those spot.

No, I'm not angry at incontrol, I just see much more potential in this event and I wish MLG would be faster in bringing about very needed changes.

I agree completely. I feel like he's babied a bit in these tournaments. There's nothing hateful about stating the facts, and he has played very poorly at every MLG event. There's also nothing hateful about saying that someone who claims to practice 8 hours a day (on NA and EU) should have a much stronger showing at tournaments. If he can't turn things around, I honestly wouldn't be surprised to see EG drop him when his contract is up.

Babied? Really?

People shit all over him in much worse ways than calling him Platinum. I think you should re-read this thread and Reddit and every chat (TL IRC).

Nah, I'm good. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Tyler doesn't practice 40 hours a week, so I don't think expectations are the same.

That just means that InControl atleast TRIES, are you trying to justify Tylers pisspoor performance in MLG (HE'S IN THE POOLS ASWELL FFS) by the fact that he "doesn't practice too much"? That's just a bigger reason why he shouldn't be on a pro team.

Atleast InControl is good at talking, thus he's actually good for EG even tho he doesn't contribute too much in his play. InControl brings Anna Prosser and as I said, great talking. That's why he's still a great asset to the EG team.

Ask yourself, what does Haypro and Tyler do for their team?

You make a post saying people should stop being an asshole towards Incontrol, and you follow it up with a post where you're being an asshole towards Tyler? What are you even trying to prove here?
