I dont know where you saw "horrible mechanics" from gatored. the only mistake was maybe when he let DRG's hydras back up the ramp (was watching his phoenixes prolly), but by that time he had already done more than enough damage. He's probably referring to gatored having like 4 unites queued up in his robo....I'm not going to take anything away from him. Great piece of execution from Gatored

Also he transitioned and expanded, so it wasn't an all-in Rofl that was totally an all-in, he didn't even try to expand until he had killed DRGs main what... he couldn't expand, DRG has a shitload of units on the field and Fenix had all his units in DRG's main. and it's common for Protoss to go 2 base vs 3 base for a period of the mid game.

No but really, finally time for a top Korean to get cheesed by one of our lesser known players (as far as global recognition goes). Happens all the time to our top pros. ![]()

Thats why you need to creep spread your main bro, or research overlord drops, overlord speed, etc. Don't let units sneak into your main unnoticed, or have a plan to get over the forcefields. EDIT: Or Burrow + Move roaches. Yep, overlord drop is very useful against dozen of phoenixes. lol ...so go Burrow-Move roaches? Last time I checked Phoenixes are terrible against that.

Gatored won deal with it and give the man his credit

Lol it was 2 stargate phoenix and a ramp block. Nothing revolutionary at all, DRG just didn't scout it at the right time and didn't have vision in his main. People have been doing both builds forever. He had a robo >> warp prism...There was also hardly any stalkers. It's not revolutionary but I dont think people have been doing that forever.

When my favorite player loses I rage too, but try not to bring it into the live report, it's annoying.

We make forcefield then defense it? On topic: I think the way he played it out it was a semi all-in. If he doesnt do a substantial amount of damage he probably gets rolled (though with that large a cloud of pheonix, he could hold a lot of stuff), but he also prob could have gotten a 3rd a couple of mins faster after doing damage in the main and been 3 base vs 2-3 base.

That's calculated and smart. The negative stigma of "all-in" needs to go away or foreigners are never going to win shit...

And he had fantastic army positioning when he went to take out DRG's third.
