I think the problem with that whole LoL issue is that they tried to force fed it. I have zero interest in LoL but if they had done some streaming inbetween the sc2 games and explained it I wouldve watched it. Keep the LoL stream for the hardcore fans and do some introducing on the other one.
But instead they decided to stick a full 2-3 hour game before the semifinal everyone was waiting for. And I think you can understand some sc2 if youve never seen it but lol is just completly unwatchable if you dont get it, they wouldve needed extra commentary for us "noobs". The way they did it they just shove a block of completly ununderstanable stuff in between the matches and lost a ton of viewers. They cant seriously hope for people whove never played LoL to get any of this?
Ive never played lol but I wouldnt have mind a bit of explaining and introducing, but being force fed like this has only one result, people hating the game. I know Ill never check out anything LoL related now. The only thing I "connect" with LoL now is this tournament, doesnt make for a good memory.
Going to bed now... I know that if huk or mc wouldve been in the finals I would be seriously pissed now, bad move ipl, really bad move.

yeah 2-0 in a BO7...
Im tired of these guys that keep on "predicting" Stephano's losses, EVERY ROUND since BO16. -_-

How could you say that when stephano is so good at zvz? Not only will it be interesting, but Stephano has a good chance at taking this tournament? THATS FUCKING SWEET!

To us it seems he has come out of nowhere but infact Stephano was already among the best during the beta (at least ladderwise). That shows once again how long it takes from being a very very good player to a worldclass player even if you are as talented as Stephano.
Well, i remember during last december, there were a french tournament called eosl, with, if i remember correctly, 32 french players invited.
When Stephano was announced, many, many spectators were like "wtf ? this guy didnt show anything". For many of them, he wasnt in the top 32 in FRANCE. Now he's like by far the best French player, but not even 1 year ago, he was nothing for many.

Stream keeps dying for me, saying "rate limited"

The dilemma. Cheer for Stephano because he's amazing, or cheer for the STC because you really don't want a ZvZ finals?

Calling it now. Not sure about that, his style is VERY strong right now, but games in the GSL are known well in advance and any top code S player would be able to study his games and be able to exploit holes He has 82% win rate playing vs the top european players and everyone knows his style. I am not saying he will own the koreans but i don't think there are actually holes to be exploited
I'm actually not sure about his zvt. Yeah I know he just beat theSTC pretty hard, but without mutalisks in his army comp I think he wouldn't be able to stand up against the multi-drop style that some top Korean Terrans have (eg. MMA).

Stephano just looks dominant because of that, stop pretending he's code s level. He is though
He is definitely good but I don't think the GSL format (ample time between rounds) would be good for him, people would figure him out eventually with his unique style.

I think the strength of Stephano's build is how fast he teches up to hive tech and +3/+3. My god I've never seen a Zerg tech up that quickly.

Yeah, code B koreans ... not code S.

It feels like that's one matchup you need a strong practice partner to learn with.
Always has to play against Dimaga and Nerchio. So pretty damn strong.

can we stop making stupid speculations about how far he would get in gsl? the answer is nobody knows. yes he's really fucking good even the way he is now, but we don't know what he is really capable of, or if this is his ceiling. (personally, i don't think it is. put anyone in a korean-style environment and he is bound to improve) so stop pretending like you know he can or cannot do well in gsl. so pointless

Stream is fine for me now.

Stephano just looks dominant because of that, stop pretending he's code s level. once they figure out Stephano's style, he will become nothing...
because it took him so long to develop this build amiright?
He still had amazing micro and macro, you can't disagree with that
