It feels like that's one matchup you need a strong practice partner to learn with.
Ret and Dimaga good enough?^^ Stephano's ZvZ is very macro oriented and pretty solid as far as ZvZ goes.

Not sure about that, his style is VERY strong right now, but games in the GSL are known well in advance and any top code S player would be able to study his games and be able to exploit holes
He has 82% win rate playing vs the top european players and everyone knows his style. I am not saying he will own the koreans but i don't think there are actually holes to be exploited

I feel like similar things were said of foreigners that can barely win a series in Code A...

In theory TheStC did play it correctly (maybe ghosts, yes) but Stephano did just outplay him by defending the drops well enough and constantly harassing the gold. Really impressive.
He wasn't really defending drops well, and StC was macroing better, Stephano was floating a ton of minerals/took a fourth much later than StC's

This is what people are talking about when they say Stephano is overrated.
He's a great European Zerg. He is not god.

His play is phenomenal. To us it seems he has come out of nowhere but infact Stephano was already among the best during the beta (at least ladderwise). That shows once again how long it takes from being a very very good player to a worldclass player even if you are as talented as Stephano. Especially if you're still in high school and can only play a couple hours a day like Stephano was doing until a couple months ago.
wait wat, he's that young? Omg what am I doing with my life, reading infinite shakespeare plays...

Stephano just looks dominant because of that, stop pretending he's code s level. Stephano not code s level? he is rolling over every korean so far.. Unlike any other forginer.

Overreaction. He's very good, and if he went to Korea and played there for a while like Huk, he more than likely could make the quarterfinals or above, but if the Koreans got to see him play more and got a feel for how he plays, he might have a tough time.
A lot of people thought Thorzain, Naniwa, etc. were going to destroy Code A, and we haven't seen a foreigner get to the top eight in Code A since Huk. He's the only one to ever do it.

He really does have an interesting style of ZvT. on ladder he makes only lings if they go bio. roach/ling if they go mech. Roach/ling/queen if they go mech with air. so I guess he adds roaches against mech, but sticks with the infestors and ultras.
Yeah, if they do heavy hellion he will do that roach attack as well. And then often queens in general.
