Yeah I was as surprised as you are. Actually it's quite different from MLG. The pool rankings provide seeds to avoid playing the best from open bracket in Ro32. As you can see, those who got 1st place have a bit less scary opponents (but very good still, ofc, because there are pretty much only top level players) : Alive (1st of group A) vs. Haypro Boxer (4th of group A) vs. Lucky Significant difference in playing Haypro or Lucky imo... MC (1st of group B) vs Inori Strelok (4th of group B) vs Violet I don't know too much about Inori so I'm not sure, but I would never want to face Violet, for sure Sleep (1st of C) vs. Minigun Hero (4th of C) vs. Puma Don't tell me it doesn't change anything ! (with all due respect to mr Chad Jones ofc ^^) TheSTC (1st of D) vs. Catz Idra (4th of D) vs. Artist Once more, quite a big difference as far as first opponent is concerned. So, pool play wasn't as important as in MLG but still changes a lot of things if you look precisely | ||
