As a normal, emotionally capable human being, your response should be: "Ah, they can't hold their event at the moment due to the internet being out. Hope they get it up. I'll go do something else or perhaps watch Lani." Not "HERP DERP, I'M A FUCKING MORON THIS IS AN OUTRAGE THAT THEY CANNOT DELIVER EVERY THING THEY'VE PROMISED 100%." Seriously. What is wrong with you people? Nooooo, let them keep doing it. It's the best entertainment during a delay like this. Don't tell them how stupid they look to the rest of us, that ruins the joke.

I think it has to become the standard for tournaments in the US, given our rather crappy internet. Also, the eagles are gone ![]() http://www.ustream.tv/decoraheagles satellite wouldn't help - mlg uses the satelllite for stream uploading, NOT for playing the games. There's too much latency involved in satellite internet to have a stable tournament running AND a stream going out.

You can't rely on a single solution if your entire operation depends on the internet working. Redundancy is key in running a huge event. Not that I'm blaming them or anything, no one expects this. But it's not like this situation was completely unavoidable. MLG now has sat trucks to avoid exactly this sort of issue. IGN could have done the same. I repeat, I am not blaming them. But to say they couldn't have done anything to prevent this is just flat out not true. EDIT: In light of the above post, nevermind. Can't say there is anything IGN could have done.

You two are confusing "responsible" with "accountable". Yes, in the end this is IGNs event and they are ACCOUNTABLE for any delays, but the actual problem lies entirely with Comcast.
