Put the first map is always set. And the first map for the finals is Xel'Naga Fortress for some reason. More info on their Reddit page.

Sadly, I was not able to see these games. Why did some of group games not get played?

Result: couldn't start the group play until something like 9 pm local time (as oppose to 11 am local time).
Decision: randomize seeds in group c (which all 4 players agreed to) and play out group d.
IdrA also forfeited his remaining matches after getting 2-1ed by white-ra because he was tired/jetlagged.

They should have gone with at&t!

Any VODs available for the White-Ra matches? =D

He only helps guys prepare for the GSL Code S Finals, helps MVP prepare for his most recent GSL match, won NASL not using the 1-1-1 once against MC when MC was arguably the best player in the world (where now he is not), beat MC again at IEM (even in a macro game!).

Plus, both him and MC practice on KR... I think they are both capable of holding the 1/1/1.
No, he was in NA for a bit before and after MLG Raleigh, but went back to Korea. And the whole time he was in NA, he was practicing on KR (he helped TOP prepare for GSL Finals at the time too).
And if Thorzain can beat Hero, so can Puma. And Puma's TvP is so much more than the 1-1-1.
Its pretty damn annoying to see people shit on Puma because he will use the 1-1-1 (like every other Korean Terran) sometimes. If he was on Team Liquid and not EG, people would be all over him like they are Hero (who is very good). Puma has insane multitasking and his late game is down right scary. Remember who STC said he didn't want to face in his post game interview? He said Puma. Why? Cause he is fucking good.

IdrA vs. Artist and than aLive. Both of them are very realistic wins for IdrA. If he can play like he did against PuMa vs. aLive, he has a strong chance there.
Huk vs. kawaiirice and than white-ra. I'd give the edge to white-ra in this foursome. But huk definitely can take it as well.
DeMuslim vs. Ret and than thorzain. Yea, DeMuslim has it rough. Probably a slight underdog in both. But definitely not a huge underdog in either.
PuMa vs. HerO and than MC. I don't see how he loses to either of them.
But what the hell is up with IPL and their map pool and map choices? The finals start on Xel'Naga Fortress and the map pool includes Crevasse. This tournament is basically set up for a terran to win. There are so many terran favored maps (crevasse, xel'naga fortress, antiga) and the starting maps are nowhere near balanced. If the finals is ZvT, I don't care who the Z and T are, the T will win. crevasse isnt even remotely terran favored in zvt. zerg gets a free third, map is huge with a ton of easy to take bases for the zerg, terran has a WIDE open 3rd and no 4th, and mutas are a fucking nightmare.
I think Idras first look said it was months ago and people never let it go. Ill be honest I figured it was zerg favorted as well until I saw the winrates for zerg were comparable to belshir beach and dual site.

Whitera vs Idra was epic game with special tactics :D

Props to Machine for this run to the championship bracket, he needed to turn in a good result here and this pretty much means he managed to do so regardless of where he places in the actual champ bracket.

in my opinion mc is a better player overall than puma, but i think puma's tvp is very scary...
but to be honest, in the last bo3 they played puma 1-1-1'd him twice out of three games, in the 1st game he all ined twice after mc held the initial allin, and wore him down with marines. this was in the time when protoss was 100% helpless vs 1-1-1. mc even tried to hide an expo hoping puma won't notice it. not saying that these weren't legit wins, but in macro games they're very even and puma wins most of his tvp games with gimmicky all-in builds.

Is there anything more to Idras forfeit I don't know other then him being a diva? I don't care how useless you think this pool play is, if you go to the tournament you play the fucking games. I wish this would at least have some concequences but probably not...

Damn WHITE RA WAS AWESOME!!! And people felt he would go last in his group.

Not really... The only all in he does in TvP is the 1-1-1. He only used the 1-1-1 once in each series vs Hasu and vs JYP and didn't drop a game to either of them.

I hope this is really the reason, eventhough he himself is responsible to be in a good shape.
