The actual seeding doesn't really matter much, the only real incentive to actually win games in the group stage was the cash prize, so i doubt that select and thorzain will be overly upset.

I guess you are serious about it? If the pool results are important for seeding in the championships bracket I feel that is the worst thing you could have done. Either have them play their games again when they felt that high-latency took away their chances to play to their best - but not have the results randomized.... as this is just not right.
Are the players actually okay with that? I feel the chance of winning 1500$ due to an online play is nothing compared to the potential of getting further in the championships bracket for having a good pool result in the 'offline' event?
