I've been getting excited about the Blizzard Cup since we're drawing closer to the end of the year. =D Interesting format change (IIRC it was going to be top 10 GSL points, 9th playing 10th in a Bo7, winner playing 8th, and so on). I like the one you're going with better.

An end of the year, definitive tournament made up of the best from all of the tournaments from an entire year...FINALLY! A TRULY PRESTIGIOUS AND RARE TOURNAMENT! (Thinking about it now...TSL fulfills that as well, but the random nature of it...yeah...)

You think for a moment that this will end because of people whining about balance. I predominantly play Protoss and so I understand their frustration. But I akin it to being a Phoenix Suns fan. For a long time (read 1993-2004), we were nothing. It was absolutely difficult being a Phoenix Suns fan--but there's no way management is going to start purchasing the Kobe Bryants or Tim Duncans of the world in the 17th Media Market of the United States if the fanbase isn't there. And then in 2004, we got some fresh blood in management who saw that there was potential. They made some amazing purchases and they put together a team that competed. Not every time is Protoss going to win... in fact, with the exception of White-Ra at IPL'2, I don't think Protoss has done a damn thing (recently). It will happen though. Not only that, Protoss players will make things fun and they will compete. So don't punish a tournament that is doing so much for this fledgling esport because your race is ill-represented this month or the next. It's kind of funny how SC2 can be broken down by so many different levels. Are you an EG fan, are you a Startale fan, are you a Huk fan, Destiny fan, yada, yada, yada. Or just a zerg fan. That's when you know you have a good thing. Personally, I just like good games, regardless of the race. I hope to improve my play and while I do so, watch some people do some insane shit. So thank you Mr. Chae, thank you GomTV and thank you TL for being a phenomenal internet home for the English-speaking SC2 player.
