Also MVP and Nestea had every possibility to play for their country so don't whine that France and stephano is the world champion in starcraft 2. I would not call him "the" world champion. He is just "a" world champion, besides Sjow (IesF), Ace (IEM WC) and MVP (GSL WC). If there is a "the world champion", it would have to be MVP, because the GSL is the one organisation, who has the biggest legitimacy (Don´t know, if this word exists in english in that way) to crown the world champion.

Stephano is kind of slapping them in the face, but honestly he is the very one exception. i agree, it also depends on how you train, if you train like a brainless robot 12 hours per day i dont think it will match someone who make his best to have a deep understanding of the strategies, finding ways to improve, learn build weaknesses blabla ... 4 hours/day.

MVP is most likely the best player in the world yes but he didn't take the opportunity to partake in this ESWC and thus he gave up the change to become world champion of Starcraft 2. It's not like it would be the first time in the world someone is the WC of something despite not being the actual best player

Did you actually watch any of the games? Stephano lost his Lair to a warp prism for fuck's sake! If he was earhacking he was doing a horrible job at it... Also, I feel that Mana would be able to hear the word "baneling" enough times to prepare better for the bust in game three if they could actually hear the casters.

Because I won it after Stephano, I am the current, reigning, and defending world champion of SC2. All comers were welcome to my tourney, but nobody showed up, so I'm the baddest man on the planet.

Damn stop it The fourth game against mana, stephano put an early baneling nest, the crowd just got mad, the shoutcasters did scream baneling nest! Yeah they said baneling nest in english Mana didn't hear a thing, and if he did, he wasn't able to understand it.

Just because some organisation declares their tournament to a "World championship", it isn´t one automaticly.

You can watch IPL and hear Stephano saying that he doesn't do anything besides SC2 atm :p Not only training, but analyzing reps/thinking about strats etc.

Did you see an incident in the matches that looked like stephano were able to predict his opponent? Jebus, watch the matches, don't just desperately try and find excuses when the results are different than what you expect..

Except for the fact that ESWC has been around for a very long time and has always been considered by the community and the players as being the world cup of Esports.
