He will be. Also, the GSL system is going through a massive change, we just don't know what yet, either!

Surely that means MC finishes top?

But they haven't played each other. I can't see why they wouldn't play each other to decide the group winner, I guess if both agree that they are happy not to play, but I don't really see why Bischu wouldn't, he has nothing to lose.

Don't they have to play each other given that 1st place plays a 2nd place in the bracket and vice-versa. Also opposite sides of the bracket obviously.

(Im not saying this in anger or with disdain; its just how it is often times. Im studying french myself) I'm going there tomorrow and I'm preemptively dreading the casting already. Why France has to be the one country that isn't willing to make the effort to make its events truly international ones, I will never know. You'd think the younger generation (presumably in charge of organizing e-sports events) would have gotten over the weird hang-ups about English our parents and grand-parents may have had. End rant. Hoping to see Idra and maybe MC play though.

From what I hear in players's interviews it's well organized, the only issue is the cold. In viewer's pov it's sad the main stage is in french and english streams are online. But we can watch most of games, have good casters. I find funny you take MLG for exemple about a rule issue. Because with extended series and seeds there are a lot of troubles as well. Overall, I think it's a good event, even if some points need to be improve for next years.

Yes, I see no reason they wouldn't be made to play. Was just mentioning that there could be a possibility of a mutual agreement not to play since they are both through if Bischu felt he'd never win and would rather grab a break before the bracket starts or something xD

Hoping to see Idra and maybe MC play though. If you can remember back 6+ years ago, ESWC was actually a european LAN event called Lan Arena 7 which was very internationally focused. For about 2-3 years after it became ESWC it was a premier event alongside WCG complete with international casters (Djwheat etc). Unfortunately when e-sports kind of died down for a while in the mid-late 2000s ESWC became smaller and started to make a lot of mistakes. As I've said before, it's an old horse in a race that's been revolutionized by MLG/IPL and it can't keep up.
