Awesome match, Khaldo+Doa are awesome casting duo

they seemed to have a few bumps getting to know each other yesterday, but they're doing VERY well today - chemistry seems very good.

Why do Socke and Sjow having to play a tie-break?

It appears that ESWC are not ranking people based on map scores which is retarded. Hence the tie break to determine placings.

Which doesn't make the most amount of sense because the rules are pretty straight forward. Though I'm not sure what "map difference" is supposed to mean.

Really not sure, pretty confusing actually. I thought it was clear that Socke would take 1st, Sjow 2nd and Lowely 3rd...

I think so too, which would be kinda sad for Orly, he's played a really good tournament so far.
It appears I have been chosen.

Can someone explain quickly: this is supposed to be a big event, but DOA and Khaldor sitting in some lonely room casting it. Who are the live casters? And why arent these two allowed to cast directly at the event?

The live casting is in French, the English casting on the other hand is being casted online.

@dignitassjow
Just qualified for eswc playoffs, ended second in group. Now facing the elfi with his handsome cap.

So SjoW is definitely through.
It appears I have been chosen.

I didn't get to watch much yesterday but if you hadn't told me I never would have guessed they hadn't casted together before. Awesome so far.

yeah, thanks. It has been explained a few times already. I find this pretty strange, but not really surprising for a french event. (Im not saying this in anger or with disdain; its just how it is often times. Im studying french myself)

I prefer consistency in tournament formats over 1-2 extra matches.

Assuming the Liquipedia is correct I get Socke first with a map difference of 7, then Lowley/Sjow tied with 5 each so Lowley goes through since he won head to head vs Sjow.

If Sjow tweeted that he qualified I can only assume they aren't using map difference but instead overall map score. As in 9 vs 8 somehow means 9 wins regardless of the difference being the same..dunno I think we'll find out soon enough

we are "whining" because this tournament is, so far, poorly organized if you compare it with what you got lately, such as MLG or IPL
