I think NesTea and DRG should both win their matches np barring something along the lines of a poll curse.
Leenock vs Ganzi is a tricky one. Ganzi is a very solid Slayers Terran, but Leenock's ZvT is stupidly good most of the time. I picked Leenock, but I think it could easily go the other way.
MVP and Bomber is also really difficult to call. MVP's only real blemishes lately are losing in AOL (which he probably didn't care much about compared to Code S) and losing to Tails in GSTL, but that was just him rushing and it getting held off. Despite that, MVP seems dead set on his roar for four and he could quite possibly do it.
Bomber has beaten MVP in a Bo7 before, the only player to have accomplished this, so this match really hinges on which Bomber we get today. If we get the Bomber we saw play the first 2 sets against Byun a couple GSLs ago, MVP will be in for a bumpy ride.

Bomber's losses cannot make sense.
This is a theory I have going. Losing to MVP would be explainable, even expected. He's probably the top player in the world right now, and he just won a GSL. But Bomber can't lose when it makes sense in Code S tournaments. July Bomber 2-0s the Super Tournament Champion, then manages to dominate Byun 2 games in a row then choke harder than a guy with a foot down his throat. August he then loses to Keen, who he had I think a 90% Toto against. The guy shows again and again that he's like a master swordfighter that can go toe-to-toe with the best, then somehow manages to cut off his own foot fighting a 12 year old.
So Bomber will win. Because his loss has to be stupid. Have to agree with this. I totally see him blowing MVP and Nestea out of the water. Thats why having players he is predicted to have a hard time against all the way to the final would work for him. Since DRG is an odds on favourite to hit the semis. Funny how Bomber got man-handled by Nestea the last time they played.
Everyone always says this, they musn't have watched the games very closely. Yeah, Bomber kinda fell apart in game 2, but game 1 was pretty close.
Besides, Bomber's improved his TvZ tremendously since they last played. Remember Bomber vs. DongRaeGu at MLG?

Nestea is lucky to be matched against one of the weakest players to ever advance to ro16. Don't see him beatin MVP/Bomber though

Bomber trew a couple random cheeses in his play. Like 2 port banshee on XNC. Nestea is a God reading builds and reacting to it against Terran.
I don't like Bomber his TvZ. Even though he wins a decent number of them.

Right after he played 2 standard games in a row against DRG and dominated him he goes on to play Coca and throws in 2 cheeses in a row. 2 port banshee followed by 2 proxy rax in the middle of the map on one of the biggest maps in the pool. Then he plays Coca again and he doesn't cheese once.
I don't think Bomber's style is the best against Nestea's though, but it can definitely work. I'd say the matchup is much closer to 50/50.

Cheering for DRG, MVP & Nestea. I just hope Leenock will make it !

I hope DRG and the Terrans win tonight. Feed more Terrans to DRG!

Uh, I don't think he cheesed DRG, infact I recall one of the games being very long where he displayed the best of the terran late game arsenal with defensive PF's and cloaked ghosts, nukes etc. However when he does decide to cheese, it usually makes perfect sense and he executes it brutally, like said above.

MMA does the stanky legg with his dropship play and is everywhere at once. Him and Puma are both very good at suffocating their opponents with perfect drops, such as MMA repeatedly sniping Losira's tech tree at MLG Columbus.
Bomber is fearsome as well, to be sure, but MMA's style seems unbeatable when he executes it properly.

The last time MVP and DRG played, MVP completely dismantled him. His only lose came from a base race on a zerg favored map

Judicator's Picks MVP > Bomber Nestea > Virus Ganzi > Leenock DRG > Supernova
The Judicator has spoken.

I think the original poster was referring to Arena of Legends, where DRG 2-0 MVP. I don't think it's impossible for DRG to beat MVP, but it sure would not be easy.

Bomber vs Mvp is going to reignite my passion of TvT. I have been getting just a little bored of it since there's been so many of them lately, but imo this is the heavyweight battle of Starcraft 2. NesTea may be more successful than Bomber, but when these two terran titans slug it out, it just seems like the ultimate fight, IMO of course! Add to that Bomber's impressive record against Mvp, and it creates an mouth watering matchup.
GanZi vs Leenock is the other exciting clash, Ganzi has some of the very best TvZ in the world, and Leenock will have to play very well to take him out.
|
MVP vs Bomber is gonna be so sick! I cant wait!
|
I think we will see 4 Zergs in the RO8. Ganzi could win but the Zergs he has beaten before werent great for the most part. I doubt he is as scary in the matchup as Leenock is right now.
MVP 2 : 1 Bomber Nestea 2 : 0 Virus Leenock 2 : 1 Ganzi DRG 2 : 0 Supernova

great matches today, would be lovin to see a few protoss though ; (

nestea always goes through the easy bracket sigh but dw mvp to win gsl again for sure no doubt.
