It was basically a matter of whether it got scouted and asd could do anything, or whether it didn't get scouted and the game was virtually unlosable. In the end it didn't get scouted early and the game was over there and then barring mma somehow making more errors than he did in the first 2 games combined. Montana is quite right that the game didn't deserve the overwhelming yes votes it got; there was a cute idea behind using the recently popular three reaper expo as a way to take the gold sure, but after that almost nothing happened until the game was decided by one encounter (which itself was decided by numbers and upgrades from the early economic advantage). I guess it's to be expected there's a lot of yes votes when you get a fan favourite from SlayerS scraping through though. | ||

Now I feel like every TvT I've seen since the patch consists entirely of Banshee harrass from 6 months ago, shitty cheeses, and Marines running around and arranging themselves in neat lines while they shoot eachother. Bio can be fun to watch when it's being played well against a good mech, but Bio vs Bio battles are absolutely fucking horrible to watch. I really hope this is just a temporary overreaction from players to the nerf, and Hellions aren't actually useless in the matchup now. I was happy to watch TvT all day the way it was before, now I think I'd rather kill myself than watch any more Marine battles. | ||

The question for me was if his reaper play would be good enough to deny scouting until his gold paid off. And yes after that phase the game was pretty onesided, but in fairness it only took about 5 minutes from the point where MMA was ahead enough for it to be over, till a battle happened. If you dislike TvT so much (because that is basically what TvT is, eco, posturing and then one often one fight) sure the game was boring for you. For me it was quite fun. | ||
