Equipment: Play will be done on provided computers. If you have a mouse or keyboard that you prefer to use, feel free to bring it, but it is not mandatory. Day 2 participants are allowed to bring monitors. It is advised to bring a flash drive with peripheral drivers on it just in case updates are needed.
Details: Entry for the tournament will be $15 paid on arrival. The top 4 players qualify for the Grand Finals on 11/6/2011.

As posted, I will update the current prize pool and the door prize list for both days. I will also add the current qualified players in a spoiler tag when I get home from work today.
This is a 2 day event that does not go overnight, but rather STARTS AT 11AM EACH DAY. Please make sure to show up as close to 10am as possible to avoid being left out of the tournament. Rumor has it that a few high profile names may show up to watch the tournament on location. And as always, spectators must pay a $5 fee, but are eligible for the door prizes.

Oh, I forgot to mention that there is a 2 day door prize, meaning you have to be there both days to qualify for it. Off the top of my head, I think we had a tower, SSD, RAM, CPU fan, and a fan monitoring system... all in ONE PRIZE.

Best Westerm listed at $92.xx, we can get at $87.50, but somehow I feel that is going to get nommed in taxes. Multiple rooms with 2 full sized beds that could fit 4 maybe 6 people in them.
Alright, so... I think if we are going 4 to a room, I need 1 more person with me. Nesix, will of course be snuggling with me and I'm going to bug Anachromy to sleep with us too. So looking for someone to crash Sat night.

About 1 week has gone by and we have 6 people registered for the last chance finals. At the current count, 66% of the entrants will be going on to day #2. Remember, entry is $10 cheaper this time around and you can also get NESC2League T-shirts for $20 at this event. Fight Night on Wednesday usually brings more people as word spreads about the tournament. I should note that this is the last tournament of our very first year and is almost 11 months to the date from when the league first started!

Just added the @ MLG passes to the door prize list. 1 each day. Once you win, I'll get your info and pass it on to MLG Deimos. From there, all you have to do is show up to MLG Providence, go to the VIP/Guest check-in and get your pass.

I had youtube at 100%, people sitting behind me can confirm this, and yet I could still hear every single little detail from the casters, through my youtube/game sounds, the winner is sitting 1row from the casters, while i am the farthest away possible, I need not say more.
Only comments I'm going to make, and also why I just left so abruptly:
Each and every game he hard counters what I'm doing, and the only times I win is when something he can't control happens (magic box mutalisk vs archons, cannons being literally 2seconds too late and thus the pylon going down)
I use the same build order 3 games in a row, and yet on the last series for absolutely no reason at all, he quad scouts, I also kill the drone from the high ground without revealing my roaches, but am met by 4 fully green cannons and a complete wall-off.
To make matters worse, he begins to break off his gates, but then stops as I'm transitioning into a 3hatch all-in ling/roach because a P knowly timing attacks after this advantage.
He then doesn't timing attack, but rather sits back, gets 3 base, and masses immortals (not colossus on 3base shattered??) and doesn't push out at all until my gold just finishes.
Not to mention my hand was basically all but unresposive as I forgot my medication for it in RI this past weekend, but this was just ridiculous.
To make matters worse, after the games I tell him I know he can hear the sounds and he just walks away, basically knowing he didn't say anything to the casters.
Absolute joke and something like that should never be allowed, funniest thing is anyone who truly watches the games and has an understanding of this matchup knows protoss [can never] play the way he did, it is completely illogical and makes zero sense. It doesn't even matter how bad I was playing, it's really ridiculous a league who had numerous complaints all day about the casters/crowd being too loud, didn't just nix the casting and cast the replays after the games were over.
Even more unethical that the kid just walks away knowing he basically abused 110% despite me complaining numerous times I could hear the casters.

lastshadow hes fifteen? Whats he suppose to do to your comments? tell everyone to shut up and to stop the cast so the public can't see him ambarass you?... get a life, its a LAN where really there wasnt alot of money at stake. Just have fun and smile. You can't get everything you want in life.

I doubt boyo could hear the casters. He heard them during our game and totally just quit out of it.
Ofcourse they gave away my super roach rush strat and I didn't get a W for it but what can you do? Shit happens.

Each and every game he hard counters what I'm doing, and the only times I win is when something he can't control happens (magic box mutalisk vs archons, cannons being literally 2seconds too late and thus the pylon going down)
I use the same build order 3 games in a row, and yet on the last series for absolutely no reason at all, he quad scouts, I also kill the drone from the high ground without revealing my roaches, but am met by 4 fully green cannons and a complete wall-off.
To make matters worse, he begins to break off his gates, but then stops as I'm transitioning into a 3hatch all-in ling/roach because a P knowly timing attacks after this advantage.
He then doesn't timing attack, but rather sits back, gets 3 base, and masses immortals (not colossus on 3base shattered??) and doesn't push out at all until my gold just finishes.
Not to mention my hand was basically all but unresposive as I forgot my medication for it in RI this past weekend, but this was just ridiculous.
To make matters worse, after the games I tell him I know he can hear the sounds and he just walks away, basically knowing he didn't say anything to the casters.

If he really could hear the casters then why didn't he go blink stalkers when you got up that spire? he had more than enough time to transition out of the charge lot archon build into blink stalkers but didnt.

Yeah, I was watching from back there and I heard Pat and Anachromy from the back end of the store. Not sure how good Boyo's headset was, but he could have heard the casters. And to comment on this:

Boyo maybe cared less about the matches earlier on in the tournament, but when it's the finals, the pressure's on, and the games are worth $140 (I think that was the difference between 1st and 2nd, I might be wrong?), he might care a little more.
I'm not saying he did anything, but it's always possible he overheard.

First off, I would like to say it was a great job by all people involved in this tournament to get it running as "smoothly" as possible and a big thanks to every single one of our sponsors.
Now, as far as the accusations go, I don't take lightly to anyone cheating and the concerns were raised in earlier matches, hence the whole earbud situation between hpTheGreat and Boyo's earlier matches. With that being said, I will look into the situation as well as tapping some higher level resources to look for any suspicious behavior on anyone's part. I would appreciate any further slander and chatter about the players/topic stop so that I can deal with this in private.
Instead, let's show some appreciation for the incredible gameplay throughout the 2 day event, and look forward to season 3, starting next year!

I can attest to this. Boyo did bring up the situation to us. I also would prefer not going into this matter more on public forum.

I watched the entire series closely, and I'm really not sure what you see as him blind-countering everything you did.
Would a player really lose twice to mutalisk if they knew everything that was going on? That's probably the one thing that he would get a free win for for knowing it's coming.
The game on Shattered where you killed his probe from the high ground with a Roach, do you realize he can see what killed his probe even if it was from the high ground? Even if he wasn't watching to see the roach kill it, Zerglings don't shoot past cliffs last time I checked. Do you think he shouldn't have found it suspicious that you have Roaches hidden in your base? Also, since when is Stalker/Immortal/Sentry a strange thing to go for, especially vs just roach/ ling? Oh, he's supposed to go Collosus on that map because YOU said he's supposed to? I guess he should have waited for you to catch up from your failed all in.
Nice job with the backup excuse about your meds too, you got all bases covered, don't you?
Maybe you're just mad that all you came back from Korea with is a bunch of corny all-ins and overall mediocre Zerg play.
Regardless of whether he could or couldn't hear the casters, your 'proof' doesn't really prove anything at all.
Apologies for being so aggressive here, but if you make claims in such a way that you did, expect responses in the same fashion.
