Nexus first is the closest thing to a counter the 1/1/1 has right now. It gives you enough time for the econ boost to kick in and hopefully gives you enough to deal with the push, assuming you control everything absolutely perfectly.

Exactly, but it also doesn't mean that people need to cry or whine about it. And you are right, there shouldn't be a single build with a huge win rate, but now you should know who to blame instead the player who uses it.

If he doesn't make those initial immortals he dies to the initial 3 tanks, he didn't have the time or money for 1-2 collosus. The stargate was just desperation and when the game was already over

Even as a zerg player it's sad watching Ps getting stomped by that 1-1-1 push. The fact that your economy is better than your opponent after pulling 85% of your scvs is disgusting. On the other hand JYP should've went for a couple of colossus, rather than phoenix, I think.

but, as mvp said, 1-1-1 is terrible for fans. why do you guys think puma has way less fans than any other korean who goes to foreign events? Theres a reason most people cringe at 1-1-1, but i dont blame him for doing it. i blame blizzard for making the MULE such a retarded macro mechanic, encouraging retarded scv all ins, which arent even "all in"

This feels like dejavu when Puma won the last IEM. Are we going to have 200 pages of utter rage/venting frustration about this again? Has that done anything to the game? Did that change the way Puma plays?
It's a strong push, and until there's a surefire way of defending it, it will happen constantly. Complain all you want, but it's been beaten to death at this point.
