So, DRG wins from there as July cannot expand and the extra production of 2 bases is too much Game 4 - Antiga and July hatch first, and DRG 14g14p. DRG manages to suicide 2 overlords in cross positions, and puts him WAY behind in drones. He expands and July does a baneling ling rush with the huge supply advantage and kills off some drones and goes up 54 to 30 drones, and techs to mutas and throws up 600 spines. DRG goes roach rush, but cannot break through the spines and mutas win the game for July. Game 5 - Bel'Shir - DRG 14g14p, July hatch first - this game DRG does the baneling all-in, July is well prepared with 2 queens and a spine, but botches the defense and nearly every baneling breaks through and get into the main. Then, he loses all his lings to one baneling and DRG cleans up the drones. DRG wins | ||

I think MMA was trying to do some new strategies which didn't particularly work against MKP. For July vs DRG, they were just the fast and aggressive Zerg plays you see, and I do think that July has improved in his ZvZ a bit. But MKP vs DRG finals will be interesting. I am betting on DRG to win, despite MKP being good in "events" | ||
