I meant a direct restream from the venue, like the one we did from Cologne. There will indeed be a restream: http://tv.esl.eu/de/program/view/40566

Pretty uninteresting day since I know nothing of SEA scene or if the chinese players have a chance or not. Day2 should be more awesome though.

I dont know them much either. But that doesnt make it uninteresting. Especially Chinese player had strong showings, time to get to know them.

Unfortunately the strongest chinese player is in the group of death -XiGua.

chinese players are probably 2nd best players in the world besides korea.

Maybe europe might be better, but id say china is easily stronger than US.

Chinese players have never really impressed me and I know the ladder on China is one of the weakest . . . .

Judicator's Picks
Group A
Puma
Hasuobs

Puma is ridiculously strong for this group. I see him advancing easily. HasuObs is sometimes pretty good, sometimes meh, but with PiG and YHY, I don't think he will have much trouble advancing at all.

Group B
Dimaga
JYP

Dimaga is an incredibly strong Zerg player, no doubt about that.
The second pick was a bit tough. Rain is a great player, and he's proved that in past GSLs. However, I've heard incredible things abuot XiGua. Still, I had to go with JYP since he's an up and coming player and could bring it down hard in his group.

give them time, they haven't had as much time with the game.

But the chinese are really damn good at rts games (just look at wc3 and bw)

Is Rain going to make it there in time? Xeris posted he missed his flight.

First Dreamhack and now IEM. Rain most unlucky traveller ever? -_-

He also had massive problems at MLG Raleigh due to the Hurricane. His flight got cancelled, and he showed up 2 to Raleigh 2 hours before his first match started. Then his return flight home got cancelled and he had to stay in Raleigh an extra 2 days.

Worst luck T_T

So he missed his flight again?

Edit: NM, good news, looks like he'll make the event http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=267444&currentpage=7
