Wait, can coL use players from MVP or has Tails switched teams? Because if so...
|
uh oh, if coL are allowed to use Tails, then why the hell haven't the been using DongRaeGu all the time :O
|
thats interesting.. that meants they might send out DRG in the future

coL.MVP ... they can use their Koreans, it's part of the same team

Pretty surprising prediction.
Looking at the players I'm predicting a 1-3 in coL's favor or a 2-3 in coL's favor. SeleCT is favored against Naniwa, Sjow is favored against Catz, I'd favor Drewbie over Bischu and Tails is heavily favored over Killer.

That's pretty cool. For some reason I was under the impression that they still operated independently in team leagues and that their partnership only extended to bringing individual players to foreign tournaments. Excited to see how Tails will do given his recent GSTL performance.

yeah fix is KiLLeR chilean player not korean Killer D;

Added poll + fixed Killer's profile.

coL has this I think, go CatZ/NaNiwa/Drewbie/Tails!

No, TL just has a living arrangement with oGs, whereas coL and MVP are essentially the same team. Totally different.

Actually no, I don't think they can. oGs and Liquid isn't a partnership, they just share the living area and so on.

Dignitas 3-0, and make it hurt.

It's pretty different, if you look at sC in the GSL for example, he's wearing a shirt that's streaked half Complexity and half MVP. It's a close knit partnership which extends to player housing and training as a part of a larger partnership. oGs and Team Liquid's relationship revolves entirely around that housing arrangement.

Select vs Naniwa - holy crap amazing first match
I can see Select and Sjow pulling big wins and then the other 2 could go either way; maybe an Ace match with DRG :o
|
Bwahaha amused that they just pulled Tails out.
Hopefully a great first match. I don't know if it was intentional but nice to see no mirrors.
|
NaNiwa vs Select, gonna be awesome shit!
|
First game. Awkward lol. Can't wait
|
Wow, Naniwa vs. Select first match.
Complexity 3-2 Dignitas.

Old Naniwa team vs. New Naniwa team!!! *-*

At least he's playing in team tourneys now. Apparently at Complexity, they crack the whip a bit harder.
|
Aww, 3 of my favorite players representing coL, cant wait to watch this! Best of luck to everyone
|
the only reason naniwa is playing is because i threatened to flip his bed if he didnt
|
Oh snap Tails playing for complexity? If it reaches Ace match I hope they play DRG (or Keen).
|
Gonna tune into this for sure. Think if Select wins then it's going to game 5, otherwise 1-3 Complexity.
|
SeleCT <Bel'shir Beach> NaNiwa SjoW <The Shattered Temple> CatZ Bischu <Dual Sight> Drewbie Killer <Xel'Naga Caverns> Tails
Hm...
Select > Naniwa. Sjow > Cath Bischu > Drewbie
3-0. The biggest ? is Select vs Naniwa... Bischu should be able to handle Drewbie.

Today's Billing SeleCT <Bel'shir Beach> NaNiwa SjoW <The Shattered Temple> CatZ Bischu <Dual Sight> Drewbie Killer <Xel'Naga Caverns> Tails Ace <Terminus SE> Ace

Oh boo, 3AM. Guess I'll be waiting for the VODs on this one !
|
|
let's go complexity, love the mixture of NA EU KR lineup!
|
Select will beat Naniwa because select's tvp is amazing, sjow will beat catz. Then I think drewbie will beat bischu and tails will beat killer. Then Idk who is going to be in the ace match for col

Hahahaha you gotta do what you gotta do.

I like how this is set up so that DRG can't just win every game ever for coL :D
|
ohoho SeleCT vs Naniwa should be epic!
|
Erm... drg free wins? surprises me on using tails, i mean apart from the mvp nestea kill, there are many other better mvp players.
|
I hope SeleCT crushes Naniwa. Im a big Naniwa fan but an even bigger Dignitas fan.
SeleCT > Naniwa Sjow > CatZ Bischu < Drewbie KiLLeR < Tails Sjow > Drewbie
3-2 Dignitas.
|
3-1 dignitas. Tails the only win for col imo.
|
naniwa vs dignitas oh the irony :D
|
Wait, if Tails can play, can Complexity pull out DRG for the ace match if it comes down to it?
|
|
if select beat naniwa and imo he will, dignitas will take it 3-1
|

I could be wrong but aren't the aces chosen from the players that were already fielded once.

if select does his super ghost snipe/emp all templar, it's gonna be tough for nani.

not fair using MVP players ... like col decide if they wanna win and if so they just juse tails + drg ...

That's usually the case because obviously most teams will field their "best" player once before ace games as well. But I don't believe it's a rule (it certainly isn't a standard rule in Proleague format). Normally anyone can play.

The team competing in the current season of GSTL is oGs-TL. I'm not sure where the idea that it's not a partnership comes from anyway.
The team competing in GCPL, on the other hand, isn't coL.MVP. It's just Complexity. So...

If i'm understanding correctly and my math isn't trash, there are some pretty big playoff implications here. Top 4 of the GCPL go to the playoffs, and this is the final game of the 2nd to last week. Currently the standings are:
1) Liquid 6-1 2) Mouz 5-1 3) EG 4-2 4) Dignitas 3-2 _______________________________
5) Fnatic 2-4 6) Empire 2-4 7) Complexity 1-4 8) Sixjax 1-6
Liquid, Mouz, and EG are in the playoffs no matter what happens.
If Dignitas WINS today, they will be in the playoffs and next week will only be relevant for seeding. They will be 4-2 and coL will move to 1-5.
If Dignitas LOSES today, and Complexity WINS, Fnatic, Empire, Complexity, AND Dignitas will all have a shot for the #4 seed. Dignitas would move to 3-3, coL would move to 2-4. Dignitas would still be in complete control of their own destiny, however, because they can still win in week 7 and make the playoffs (they are playing Empire)
So tonight, Empire and Fnatic fans should be cheering on Complexity.

Today's Billing (T)SeleCT <Bel'shir Beach> (P)NaNiwa -if it was any other map i'd pick NaNi, but bel'shir is tiny and select will likely kill nani on it. i'd love to be wrong though. (T)SjoW <The Shattered Temple> (Z)CatZ -self explanatory. (P)Bischu <Dual Sight> (T)Drewbie -drewbie is underrated and bischu is about at his level but I think drewbie is better slightly. (Z)Killer <Xel'Naga Caverns> (P)Tails -beats nestea and mvp in a row. i dont care if those were just 2 games. no choice but to pick tails. SeleCT <Terminus SE> NaNiwa -revenge on a better map for NaNi.

naniwa knows select very well, and I have a feeling whoever wins on bel'shir will be decided very early.
if they are the aces on terminus, we may see what you said.

Ace would be a Best of 3, by the way.

Empire's record is probably still uncertain at the moment. They are the only team that lost to Sixjax and it is possible that they are 3-3 right now instead of 2-4. This really depends on how GCPL handles the disbandment of Sixjax.

Why are there TLPD entries for two teams still then, Complexity and MVP, if they are now one team?
|
they should have been using koreans since the start i feel its too late now for col.MVP
|
Interesting how complexity is now a completely different team than it was a few months ago. Always a big root fan so let's go col!

On September 28 2011 05:33 Zzoram wrote: Why are there TLPD entries for two teams still then, Complexity and MVP, if they are now one team?
The whole partnership thing looks way too arbitrary to me. It seems like teams can decide at any point whether they are one team, two teams, partnered teams or anything in between. -_-
|
well it was bel'shir, not surprised nani 4-gated. good attack
cancelled stim at 95%.
|
On September 28 2011 05:33 Zzoram wrote: Why are there TLPD entries for two teams still then, Complexity and MVP, if they are now one team?
They aren't one team, it's coLMVP which is an umbrella under which both team's players fall. coLMVP started with only Genius and DongRaeGu, think of it like a Venn diagram with Complexity on one side and MVP on the other, with those 2 players in the intersection. Now, the circles are basically on top of each other. Both teams have access to each other's players, but maintain their individual identities as well.
I don't have too huge a problem with it, it's actually kind of comparable to FXO's situation in regards to the former Fou, the major difference being each team maintaining it's name in this case. It doesn't bother me too much.

Is a zerg seriously going roach hydra corruptor after all the great styls that have been discovered by zergs??

It's depressing to me that ZvP has devolved back into roach hydra corruptor dying to colossus deathballs

Definitely a legitimate strategy in maps like Terminus where it's difficult to attack and easy to secure multiple expansions.

The ridiculously terrible irony of Naniwa playing against Dignitas...

I would be very happy to trade the prevalence of fourgate in PvP for mass voidray battles. Maybe both players turtle till 200/200 and we get sky protoss builds of pure voidrays carriers and perhaps a mothership.
