IdrA's engages are far from perfect, and it looked for a time that he was going to lose despite a 50-60 food advantage, but thankfully he managed to get those NPs in. And lol @ the push-ups.

well there is like 100x more games
like last season i feel like there is too many games, its nice to watch starcraft every night~ but i kinda lose interest in the league after a while, id rather have the best games rather than the most games, i dont have time to watch them all.
I'm really shocked how Idra's nonstop crying about the ZvP matchup affects his gameplay so much. It's like he'd rather see himself right than play good games. Poor attitude.

$25 is a cheap dinner or a weeknight at the bar. Suck it up. It's good for "ESPORTS" as people around here love to say, and the sheer volume of games justifies the price.
I don't even watch the live events most of the time, but the $25 is worth it for the utter shit load of VODs available whenever I happen to be bored.

For me its like £15 or so i believe, and i know it doesn't sound like much but i cant afford to pay for all the GOMTV tickets as well as this, and still afford my bus to and from college everyday and the money to eat and actually go out once a week or so, i wish i could. so when the months come where i cant afford a season ticket, at least the GSL is watchable..
Well, in the EGMC thread I wanted to give Hwangsin the benefit of the doubt, but every single game Ive watched has him all inning/cheesing while the announcers hinting that hes a cheeser.
Hwangsin was somewhat disappointing to me. Losing that probe and allowing IdrA to see the stargate right off the bat was pretty bad first game. Second game IdrA played super safe, and Hwangsin had nothing to say about it.
I thought they said it was a 2 day delay? This is like a week and 2 days. I don't mind that the games are old, but don't tell us something that isn't true :/ (If it's mentioned that the games are a week old somewhere else then I apologize for being retarded)
I think the quote was (more or less exactly) "Beating a guy like HwangSin means absolutely nothing cause he's terrible" - but it's Greg's deadpan and dismissive tone that makes it so unbelievably funny XD I'm still trying not to fall out of my chair with laughter
I guess they are competing with IPL to stream old games... I think that NASL should at least tell how old the games are because it's actually quite relevant to why someone wins/loses.
Well TBH I hope DDE and Vibe really bolster Gosu's line up. Despite their justified reputation as a cheesy team I think Rumcake is one of the most mannered guys around so from time to time I like to tune into gosu stuff.
But you have to call a spade a spade here.. as awesome as Rum his team is just overwhelmingly cheesy.

I felt like Socke miscontrolled his army and would win 99% of time when put in that situation. (We've definitely seen him beat this situation a few times.)

I don't know, I think Socke with perfect control might've done it, but once he pulled his army to the left in a very poor attempt to draw Softball (and get more time), he screwed himself over because the Collossus was left isolated on the right side.
I think Softball really played that well though, even with the sentry sniping (took all of them out) for just marines.

Huge blunder for socke there imo... there was only 1 tank defending, socke could have a-moved all the way through and won the game right there. As it stands socke still has a large lead though.

Neither is South Korea
South Korea's twice the size, and of course it already has an established progaming system. Give Taiwan a few years....
how... why... there MUST be lag from Korea, because who in their right mind would skip tanks for mass marines and not know they're good at marine splitting.
Rebound the next two games! Easter Island terran fighting!

Yea, sounds right. its just funny how jinro didnt even try to split... and his last split wasnt even that good. Either he was having an off day or theres lag involved.

Probably lag. His marine split is normally pretty good.
On September 24 2011 11:35 PinkLithe wrote: Why the hell didn't jinro make a single tank? I started watching halfway through... did I miss something crucial??
it's one of the lesser used but still pretty good styles in Korea. sC started it, basically fast upgrades, make 12 marines at a time, and just send them in waves at opponents. Counter banelings with insane marine splits and just trade relentlessly.

They should be playing on the North American server. I dunno if playing vs a north american player on the NA server is different from playing vs a Euro on the NA server though.
I don't usually post, but how can the NASL actually ask for $25 and put up GRETORP as a permanent caster? And do we really have to listen to his "analysis" after every single game?

The quantity of games you get is so much higher, way better video quality...GSTL is $25 with ads...

Yea, Korea to Europe is pretty bad. But doubt they are playing on EU.

I'm sad because Jinro seems to be getting progressively worse... or players are getting better and he's not. It used to appear to me than Jinro was so good because of his intelligence. But it doesn't seem to be enough now.

Yep, not awarding the NASL my ad revenue if I can't at least watch it in 480p for free. Fuck this.
Jinro's confidence is down the sewers. Burdened by the weight of expectations. He may need to take a real break from the game, get a fresh perspective. /sad

what? Have you even seen his recent games? I wouldn't really listen to what the casters are saying about his unit combination since it is one of the most popular unit combos in korea......

I know right. If Lz was in Backstreet Boys they'd still be popular and trumping the beatles in records sold.
Maybe we should make Husky make a BSB parody music video staring Lzgamer

It just seems that he's slower than everyone else at everything. That's a real handicap. His builds are all right, and he's still smart as hell. But he's slow. I don't know.

The Koreans do eventually add tanks. Jinro just needs to work on his apm and multitasking, it's always been his weak point. He has some amazing micro at times, but that doesn't help when his resources shoot up to a thousand while he micros marines, and it is equally unhelpful when he drops helios into the main only to have them thrown away blasting a queen rather than drones because he's doing other things.
God, the 1/1/1 is so boring to watch. I mean you have the protoss microing to save his life, but the Terran just kind of sits there. Blizzard needs to make the games more interesting to watch by making easier strategies less viable. Not claiming imbalance, its just not fun to watch.

Mistake, after mistake, after mistake, after mistake
Kiwi literally had one thing he could do to win the game, and sjow let it happen.
Plays protoss while protoss is considered weak, not on one of the strongest teams, AND plays on the weakest server, yet still manages to be competitive.
Great decision making and control there. It seems like Sjow could have won several times, not sure exactly what were his mistakes, but it's still pretty impressive by Kiwi!

Retreated and expanded. Kiwi did some Phoenix harass, Sjow went for his big attack and Kiwi went for the base race, able to save almost all his natural probes.

Which is odd because usually Sjow has great decision making (which usually compensates for his low apm)

Men.....idra is looking so weak after that Game 1 vs Hwangsin.... His macro is of course outstanding, and thats why he won. But his descision making, dealing with protoss deathball is so bad. Zergs of his lvl are dealing with them in a lot of different ways, but he is like ... refusing to do all those things :/
Only 260 viewers (which I am one of) with 7000+ watching destiny. EDIT: Wow fail, the matches are over. imadumbass It seems like IPL and NASL are competing towards the same goal: Produced/Casted Commetary driven content. The next one to "push the envelope" in some regard will be the most successful.
