Unless the GSL format changed, they most definitely can meet in the finals. Anyone can meet anyone in the finals depending on how the groups go.

I don't know I mean, there seems to be a lot of crappy 1 base / 2 base all ins.
It seems as though the games only really get good when the opponents are really really closely skilled and very high level.

Alicia actually played really well on Bel'shir Beach. If his opponent wasn't Select he probably would have beaten any of the other guys who played tonight.

The top and bottom half of the brackets aren't decided by group. Bracket goes like this:
Top: A1 vs B2; C1 vs D2; E1 vs F2; G1 vs H2
Bottom: A2 vs B1; C2 vs D1; E2 vs F1; G2 vs H1
People in the same group can meet in the finals
Example: MC vs July GSL March Finals. Both were in the same group. They met in the finals.

He had patches of 'playing really well', but I wouldn't call his constant indecision with chargelots good. There were too many units donated for it to be considered good overall.

To be fair, SelecT is known more than anyone else for having a VERY lopsided match-up balance. He has absolutely incredible TvP and fairly weak TvT (and alright TvZ).
