Looking like a nice cup! Good players~
When is Type2 gonna get officially announced o.o
This is so good, just found about this from Phoenix's twitter. It really needs much more hype, almost all the top EU players are in there (if they are not in Korea atm ^^).
The question is, will there be en stream?
Two more players announced
Is there any way to apply professional players to this?
Yeah one is missing, but not anymore ! Have a look to the presentation, last player added.
Bracket will be released later today !
English announcement
well this has pretty much the top eu players already lol, the only better foreigners on this is ones in korea who woudlnt be able to play due to Lag issues.
This has the date but not what time the games will be played/broadcasted
Nice lineup nonetheless!
Languages shouldn't be a problem too follow SC2 games. I can't see the problem with English isn't represented, as commentaries and such. The French community, in this case, just need to stand up for it. Just take other tournaments like those in Germany survives without the English languages. Sure it gets the Americans too look but aren't that just because of lazyness? I've watched many games from Korea and Germany without English commentary and that doesn’t loose it's charm. It's the game I like not the language...
Stream start at 20h.
PhoeNix leave in Germany right now !
Well, we noticed that we are looking for English Stream, but we didn't receive any propose.
Really looking foreword to casting this

They need an english stream to bash casters. Just (half) kidding, but yeah, I've watched a lot of tournaments in german, korean even in spanish and it doesn't annoy me that much. The main thing is that I'm able to watch games, then I make commentary by myself.
I hope there will be an english stream though, it's better for visibility.
Brackets will be release later today
hope the is a English stream!!!!
Missus away so can actually watch for a change!!!
I don't really care if there is an English or German stream, I'd be fine with a French stream only, but I do care about the streaming platform - I beg you, please do not stream exclusively on dailymotion, I just can't get it to work. Whatever I do, the stream doesn't load, so I'd be much happier if you had a second stream that'd allow me to watch the tournament.

Mana so good!
Please get someone to cast this in English. I doubt any lesser-known caster would say no to such a great player pool.
oh man.... did I miss an epic first game of mana? ((
This game was really epic.
Mana had such a monster mico ! this guy is so goooood !
Mana has a nasl match right now, so the next match will be tod vs whitera. Can't wait for Stephano vs MaNa !
Mana 2 - 0 Phoenix ! nice first game
Mana vs Stephano could be a Dreamhack/IEM finals! That's going to be awesome! Aren't they practice partners as well?
Wow, what a great start. MaNa so good... MaNa vs Stephano should be awesome.
ToD using special Taktikz against White ra :o
That build from Tod was the weirdest shit I've seen in a long time. he got Charge and Archons and 2 cannons without either expaning nor attacking. WTF
This tournamnet is so stacked, yet it gets so little attention because of lack of english stream....
Think of it as a hipster tournament. Like french new wave cinema, only the cool kids know about it.
I don't know what tarson did on the big fight where he splited his army, i thought he could win easily and he just miss micro one part of the army. And he never took b3 TT
Mana looks strong and steph has hard times vs toss atm, so i bet a little piece on mana !
I think the winner of this set will face Thorzain in the finals.
Wow, what a game , i thought that Mana has lost a few times during that game!
That was insane.
Mana is clearly the top Protoss player atm.
Sick, sick game, that was very fun to watch.

When i see Mana plays, Protoss does'nt seem weak at all ^^
But in the end, I think Stephano loose because of his upgrades.
Stephano did way too much drones! and he idnt do upgrades, no a zerg can't win a protoss with 100 pop ahead in those conditions...
And notice these players are the two first of ladder.
the second game start as the first one :D

He had 3 attack upgrade for range and for defense as well. Dunno about melee attack tho. Anyway.. yeah you're right, he made way too many drones, 100+.
Mana was able to take expansions really easily and you don't want to fight a protoss on 5/6 bases !
Mana rulezzzzzzzzzzz ! He is so impressive !
Wow, similiar to first game, but quicker. GG Mana!

Well, this final is far from set in stone, because Thorzain could meet his other teammate Hasu in the quarters. Both normally produce extremely close and entertaining series together (as seen in DH summer and HSC III), which isn´t really suprising.
Both are macro orientated players with astounding late games, maybe even the best outside Korea. I can defenitely picture Hasu becoming Tzains stumbling block in the tourney. According to his convincing victory over Stephano a few days ago, Hasu also seems to have gotten back into shape after his vacation.
But first of all both need to overcome their first oppenents, which will be atleast in Hasu´s case not a walk in the park.

Well Hasu got 2-0ed by Akkis today so it doesn't seem like he's back in shape again. But yeah, most of the other players in the lower bracket have a shot at getting to the finals aswell.

Not sure what this has to do with laziness. It has to do with entertainment value. Maybe you personally don't enjoy hearing games casted in a language you can understand, but that doesn't mean everyone shares your opinion. It would definitely be a good idea to have an English caster if you want to appeal to English speaking audiences.

You seriously don´t use this two games as measurement of Hasu´s current form, do you? Take and Delphi judged the games correctly. Akkis didn´t thought he could win in straight up games, so he gambled aka cheesed and got lucky. While this doesn´t excuse Hasu´s loss nor his far from perfect cheese defense, it is highly unlikely that this will be Hasu´s downfall in this tourney, because Dimaga and Thorzain are two of the most straight forward macro players in the world. I somehow doubt, that Dima would take the huge gamble and 6pool on Shakuras for example.

come on Tzain! You are really better than that. I want my HSC III rematch.

On September 23 2011 05:19 Redox wrote: Can anyone tell me what happened in the 3rd game? I just know that Hasu won. 12p vs. 6z temple. FFE into 7 gate 1/1 immortal push for Hasu. Dimaga wasted early larvae on lings, then greedily went up to 70 drones (taking the gold) without really scouting what Hasu was doing. The new immortal range really showed its worth in this game, as 3 immortals combined for about 25 kills with Hasu's other units acting as meatshields.
It should be added that Dimaga was sitting on 2k/1k when he tapped out, he looked way tilted that last game.
Very nice push by Thorzain.
I dont like this 1-1-1 build from Thorzain just play like you normally do Thorzain

Why dont thorzain just go for late game and rofl stomp:o?
On September 23 2011 05:55 Morale wrote: Why dont thorzain just go for late game and rofl stomp:o?
Because Hasu´s lategame is one of the scariest things you can encounter on EU? In this regard they are pretty much on the same level.
Still, I would like a good long macro game better, too. Still Boss defense by Hasu this game.

Sick play by Hasu! Wonder if he had seen the reaper switch (thinking of all the cannons).

Such a tense last game even though not a lot actually happened! Great casting by ToD and Rotti. ToD probably won't have the time to do this too often, but if he does I definitely want to tune in.

As I said, Hasu PvT late game is as good as it gets.
I can actually not remember when I saw him lose in a 200/200 situation vs Terran. Except for some games vs Goody, but tahts kinda special. :D

What a great series. Honestly everytime when those two top europeans clash, it becomes amazing.
This series really showcased the strengts of both guys: - extreme solid defenses and late game qualities from another planet. The army control, patience and nerves these players have are extraodinary. It was already nerve wrecking for a spectator. I can´t even imagine how it must be for the players.
So with that done, who is in for a mouz final^^? I know Nerchio is pretty much the zerg equivalent of those two, but it will be definetely doable for Hasu if he plays like against Tzain.
What great days to be a fan of this team of powerhouses .

Thats exactly what he said :/. And what is wrong with playing defensive? Thats his style. God forsake, that Pro gamers play the game the way, that it suits their strengths...
I take a macro orientated player over a cheeser or all-inner anyday.

QQ, no terrans in the finals, this game is so imbalanced ((
JK of course, I hope you see how stupid this sounds, I see a comment like that in every tourney with TvT. TvZ or TvP finals.
Anyways, as for the tourney, I'm really disappointed that my favorite players (especially DIMAGA) are out, but at the same time I'm happy for having a tournament with such quality players. I hope this isn't its final edition and see you Monday for the finals Thanks for making this happen
