Keep in mind, players, this is your last chance to qualify and be seeded directly into the championship bracket in Atlantic City! This is a $100,000 prize pool event, where you can essentially double your money every single round. You'd just be silly to miss an opportunity like this. =)

Well if it is like the last qualifier then most people will sign up the day before the qualifier, though you should know this.
I really wish people would take mroe advantage of this qualifier. I mean, it's free travel and guaranteed money if you win. You get as much as if you win Code A for winning this tournament, with a chance at more!
Only about 48 hours left to sign up! Please urge your favorite players around the world to enter this FINAL QUALIFIER for IGN Pro League 3 so that they can win a free trip and a minimum of $1,000 prize money in Atlantic City!
I wonder if the Korean players are just gonna sign up last minute or if most of them are focused on GSL again or something. Also lack of the IM team signing up for stuff makes me super sad.
Only about 24 hours to go now! I do spy some very worthy competition in the list but I am curious to find out where some of our usual competitors have run off to. =P
This is your laaaaast chaaaaaaaaance to qualify and win a free trip and automatic seeding into our championship bracket!

Has to be Nestea or it's going to be a huge disappointment due to the wait. I just can't see Nestea actually going to a foreign tournament though. I'm ready to be disappointed. = (

I'd love to see him be the final invite, but I wouldn't be disappointed if it were someone else. You're right though, it seems unlikely.

Well Nestea always turns down invites to foreign events so it is unlikely.

The only other big names which I think would be worthy that haven't been in any qualifiers would be MC, MVP, or Nerchio.
I feel like it can't be a Terran so that kind of makes MVP unlikely.
MKP and July which are big names both tried to qualify so it can't be them. = /

Dunno... Nestea fighting?
Puma, Sen, or Dimaga. :D
Puma tried to qualify once. I could agree with Dimaga. Sen is borderline I guess. I'd say Fenix, Major, and Sen are on the same level.
I shoulda just kept a probe with my army when basetrading. I'll probably watch the rep later and see if it was close or not but regardless that was fun (:

Definitely looks like it was close. Good try though!
Check has been so consistent these four qualifiers. He has also been one of the first signups every time, right? If there was an invite for MVP of the qualifiers he deserves it for being such a baller.

He says he's an unknown korean.
This is so mysterious!
What race is he playing :O
Bracket says he's Terran, no idea if thats correct though. It's probably just forgg.
That would be so sick lol.
I don't trust the brackets since I presume it's just the race of the account being signed up with? As in, if someone is borrowing an account it might not necessarily reflect what they normally play?

Wild speculation; they just said they were an unknown Korean which was pretty suspicious when they beat Puzzle =p
It was mainly looking for a gosu Terran that would be "unknown" in Sc2. Then Strelok confirmed he's actually Toss despite the bracket listing him as T, and since it's "known" that forGG is T in sc2 too it can't be him. Would have been nice though.
ChAnCe has 3 GM accts on NA (not that that means much) and won the Amateur bracket of Complexity 3D Tactic Pro-AM. He's a really good Zerg, just one of those many that people don't know about.

We do an interview with him at the start of our podcast here: http://esportscanada.net/?p=211 He's a BC-based player who's training really hard, and it's showing!
throw MKP an invite plzzzzzzzz make me happy! seriously you guys can't be blind to the huge fan base his got, which even donated money for him to fly to MLG Orlando! PLZPZLPZLPZLZ

You should send chance in my opinion. Get some strong NA players coming in. His run was super super impressive.
These qualifiers have been very interesting to follow. They have been filled with a ton of mid level and lower top end korean players and I'm surprised how well foreigners have done overall with both stephano and strelok qualifying and a number of others doing very well also.

Awesome run by Chance, 2-0ing a bunch of gosus and narrowly being edged out by Strelok. I don't know a lot about this guy, but hope to see more in the future! Congrats to Strelok for qualifying, good to see a foreigner actually have a go and get rewarded for it.
Not to rain on the parade and be a Debbie-downer but Strelok had a really easy path. The only decent opponent he faced was an unknown in Chance who had to work his way uphill. The whole line-up wasn't quite as stacked as last time too. TheSTC also had a relaitvely easy run, only facing about 2 strong opponents. I think I'm starting to see a flaw in these randomly seeded open tournaments.
But grats to Strelok anyway. A (still) very under appreciated player.

Well, they've said they seed based upon ladder ranking, which is largely random, and if GM on NA = GM on Korea, obviously there's a bit of a problem, but there's not much they can do about it.
I think a problem with the bracket system though, is that the extra rounds (because there is over 32 people) are all on the top half of the bracket, whereas they should be distributed more evenly.

How do you know it was an easy path? Just because you didn't recognize the names means nothing. Looks to me like he took out 2 Chinese pros and a good VPChance along the way. Strifeco some might consider good also.

MacSed is definitely one of the best chinese players and took out koreans on the way.
