if you think he was ever ahead in this game, you have no understanding of the game.

Marine marauder medivac ghost tank viking, that counters EVERY zerg unit. If played passively like thorzain did, ZvT is unwinnable, you can no longer rely on BL/infestor to win games against competent terrans.
Thorzain played great and I don't want to take anything away from him, and I feel that Haypro should have gone for the kill when he had the opportunity, but one unit countering the 3 units zerg relies on lategame is a bit troublesome.
Yeah, true terran late-game is amazing, so many great options. Can't wait to see hsm being used more.

it wasn't that huge actually. he had like a 30 supply lead. before that engagement Master Jane was always up on supply which usually happens to the zerg, not the terran... after that point supplies looked like as they usually do in tvz. Master Jane was outmacroing him greatly

My God, Thorzain is such a beast. He'll be in Code S in no time.

Btw, are the match-ups selected somehow randomly? Having 2 mirror matches kinda blows.

SaSe! SaSe! SaSe!!!
Sase needs some sick wins to get him into the spotlight

Oh, the Jedi Mind Trick guy on the ladder is Naniwa?
He was ranked #1 a while back, I was wondering who that was. Awesome music too.

It's hard to break a Terran that has a nice setup at the gold and is prepared for everything you do in advance.
That was a good match by Haypro, Thorzain just played better, no shame in that. It's fucking Thorzain. He is not exactly your usual ladderscrub.

When Thorzain took his gold Haypro had a good timing to start being aggressive. But he never had a real big mass of units. He did nothing with his guardians too because of 4 vikings, when he still had mutas and he had his first few infestors. After that he stayed high tech too much, need to revert to mega mass lings vs marauders/ghosts/tanks imo.

Sase hardly ever loses pvp when he plays on the korean server.

i know im a bit late but the invitational list is funny. no polish and german players.no stephano.no demuslim. but sase and haypro... O-KAY so germany and poland arent able to to come to MLG because they have world war 3 ? whats the reason? did MLG ask the european clans but they dont want to send any players?
|
SaSe is solid as fuck. Such a huge fan.

Demuslim hasn't proved himself in the way SaSe has. Which German players would be invited above SaSe?

Agreed with this entirely, perfect analysis. In particular him not pressing his advantage after crushing Thorzain's first big push was game breaking. Instead of counterattacking at the natural or something he let Thorzain turtle up and get back into the game.
Also, you called them guardians <3.

Yeah 6/8 are Swedish. :D
But the reason is that they only invited people that paticipated in MLGs. They could have invited TLO instead of Haypro though.
edit: Oh and they could have invited Socke, he was at several MLGs. But he stopped attending them so I guess thats a reason for them to not invite him.

All these people saying haypro had a huge lead must be gold or something because he was NEVER in a commanding lead that game. He was pretty even with Thorzain the entire game. Remember that terran has mules?
