While Ret played great that last game and completely deserved the win, I really don't enjoy his style of play. He seems to just cross his fingers and hope to get away with mass droning and then wins if he does. Perhaps I just lack an appreciation for quality zerg play because I have never really tried to do it myself. Well the next game determines the tournament champion Good luck to both!

LOL it's not that easy, if it was every player would just kill him with early pressure.

He nicely timed his first batch of roaches, blindly making them because he knew that's the timing for an attack (~ 8:30 - 9 min). Once he confirmed that it was actually a push-out, he massed up units and held Naniwa's attack easily. He had good enough scouting to know no air was coming so he could get away with droning without having to get spores or anything like that.

So I watched the past few games thinking"Man, what is ret going to do vs fast voids?"

Guess the answer is "die"

Yay Naniwa! He has worked so hard that it is great seeing it pay off. And I apologize for downplaying the excellent play by Ret in my previous post.

Excellent and excellent - he'd have instalost vs a void ray transition, maybe he was confident in his scouting but even so it's really risky.

I know nani has excellent control, but ret's queen and spor crawler control.is.somewhat lacking. The korean training is really paying off for naniwa.

Ret so greedy. His TvZ isn't nearly as greedy, so I don't understand why his PvZ is the way it is

Why does Artosis give Naniwa the edge for this series when he lost 2-0 to Sase earlier?

He can get away with his greedy builds against the.north american ladder' but when it comes to korean trained.players ret can't rely on his greedy play.

agree, on NA and EU there's rule no rush 10 mins mark in PvZ so Ret could free to drone up like a mad man. But Koreans won't ever give you a break.

Yeah, that whole engagement i was like where did the immortal go? did it get sniped when i wasn't looking? nope, rather Sase left his most important unit behind T-T.

JP and Artosis are on fire tonight. The efficiency of execution by Naniwa is getting more and more insane.

Nice PvP's. It's unfortunate that the 1-base strat still wins, but really good none the less.
