Not really, mana/hasuobs could easily beat idra/demuslim, morrow not exactly "easily" but he could still beat those two.
Ace match would probably be mana vs puma and overall the teams are actually fairly even.

you do realise each player plays once? so having puma is not auto win cos at most he'll win 1 game. He needs 2 other EG members to win too. But with the likes or idra, demuslim and possible HuK at their disposal they do have a pretty scary roster

Why the format? korean style team vs team is much more interesting. The anticipation of all kills you cant take it away reason i dont watch EGmasterscup. I understand this is better to determine the overall better team but unfortunately not half as entertaining.
I'm guessing the Ace players here, I don't know how they are determined and if they are already determined or not. For EG it's PuMa no questions, for Mouz I picked MaNa but MorroW might also be possible.
mmm... Puma should take Hasu because Koreans OP. Demuslim definitely favored aginst syck. However mana has been on a tear so idk if IdrA can take him. Machine probably will lose and idk about ace. If puma is a sleep, IdrA has a chance to lose. If Puma awake, its EG's
Demuslim really has to win his game. Idra vs Mana is a tossup. I'd say Mana the favorite. Machine should get stomped by Morrow(Love ya Machine, but yeah).
So Demuslim needs to win his match to force the ace match and take pressure off of Idra.
ok... am i the only one a little bothered by the commentating. yes IdrA tilts hard, but when its a cannon rush which was 3 pylons + cannon (450 minerals) for a canceled, 30-60 seconds delayed hatchery, was IdrA ever legitimately "behind" and super tilted. i mean to the extent where literally every other sentence was that he is tilted.
bad engagement for IdrA, loses infestors, mana takes game over idra.

Demuslim drops emps then doesn't even micro during the engage. literally stims and amoves. Sits through storms.
Ton of sloppiness in Demuslim's play. I would think being by Puma would clean it up a lot more.

Demuslim outplayed. er might be harsh but I think he had some moments where if he hadn't decided to sit through storms he could have gotten some serious momentum behind his play and been just a touch more cost effective.

DeMuslim had 1/1 while Mana was 2/2 and upgrading weapons 3, even if he didn't sit through stroms he was probably dead.

reason why they didnt use Puma for ace, imo, is because Puma got roflstomped by MaNa at the gamescon.

That was MYM I believe. Syck and Ghosta do do 2v2s for mouz though.
who keeps doing the predictions? EG always seems to be so overrated and constantly loses against decent teams. Maybe its time to downgrade the prediction?
EG threw it away. Mouz is a sick team and demuslim is a sick player who has a ton of potential but if they played puma in the ace... I would have been very surprised if he had lost even though mana is a great player.

he played like shit against every player that day though. lost games to players he usually wouldnt have. He went on to crush nerchio socke and mc 3-0 the next day. You are saying, to even begin this conversation, that mana is considerable better than mc and socke. Actually to be honest aside from that day when he played underpar I think I have seen him only lose 1-2 games total of tvp out of 30-40 games. I would never expect PuMa to run from a tvp because to be honest I dont know of anyone in the world he is better than him at the matchup.

Those players might be fairly even, but EG sports a larger roster. So if you count the other players, I think mouz has a more solid team because they don't have members bringing down the overall skill.

Imo more players are better, that allows for bigger rotation to compensate fluctuations of form (slumping).
