I am glad that they're using the maps that they are instead of Xel Naga, Metal, and Shattered, the maps they used in the previous qualifier. It's possible they brought in more maps so that more Zergs will qualify.

Also, since Puma is not on a Korean team anymore, is it possible that he get auto seeded into coda A? I seem to remember that code A spots are for players on non-Korean teams, even if they are Korean.

No.

HerO is apparently playing in the qualifiers, which means that simply being a Korean on a foreign team does not make you eligible for the Code A spot. If HerO doesn't get the spot, neither does Puma. If he does, then so should HerO, as they're both in the same situation.

12 Players from Code A Qualifiers
9 Players from Up And Down Matches
7 Players from Code A Round of 16 (8 minus DRG)
2 Players from MLG (NaNiwa + Sjow)
=
30 Players

Two more foreigners in Code A?

Since Puma showed up not as a Korean Invite, I would assume that he has the first Code A spot, but if that were the case then Liquid Hero should get the 2nd Code A spot since he too, was not a korean pool play invite. Then Sjow placed just above Naniwa so he would possibly be next in line, but if Sjow declined then maybe Naniwa got yet another Code A spot

Would love some clarification as to why so many of these names aren't on the list, from GOM. If they have any knowledge on it.

Last I seen of Carn he was in some Chinese tourney and there were hints that he'd return home afterwards. I doubt he is in Korea at the moment. I have no confirmation on any of this though.

I think dual sight first could be dangerous. It's a good map but it's also a map where players can do a lot of gimmicky stuff (gold first for P or even Z), MVP push vs P, sentry contain vT.
Anyway, cool to see that daybreak (best map ever) and antiga are in. But daybreak should be better in 1st or 2nd position.

Anyway, nice GOM to have made this thread <3

I was under the impression that you had to be ranked within top whatever the number is on the Korean ladder to enter this qualifier. Did they change this rule or did yellow really get that much better?

So this will be running on both Saturday and Sunday? Will be early morning (5am) GSL weekend for me then.
