Dimaga beat NesTea 2 games out of 3 in zvz, while NesTea had 90%+ win rate, Dimaga still isn't the better player, he just won that series. Idra quit games whenever he plays against Deezer, Deezer is the better player now? It was pretty clear that Yellow still has a lot to learn. IMO, it was also clear that Maelstrom was the better player, and he's not really that good.

Basically YellOw lost in a dumb way that in no way reflects the actual skill gap between the two. mechanics aren't everything, especially in sc2. Yellow got outplayed. And I don't even know what Maelstrom did mechanically wrong that allows you to claim Yellow was superior in that category. Maelstrom had the better strategies and executed them better. Right now he is better than Yellow. No one is flaming Yellow, just discussing his play. Stop being such a fanboy.

From what I could see of the protoss's play in the 2 broadcasted games, he's simply better than yellow. Yellow wasn't attempting to bait the air units into spores, made the mistake of going hydra against a single stargate, and got an extremely late roach warren. Second game Yellow could've won by focusing down both the pylons on either end of the wall, and the protoss would not have a hope of holding. Instead he focused on cannons, and let all his lings dance behind a forcefield instead of trying to widen the gap, and stood his roaches in range of the two cannons. The protoss could afford zero mistakes in that scenario, Yellow quite frankly doesn't quite have enough experience yet.

I don't have much interest in continuing this discussion but from a semantic point of view I think you have your terms switched. In my mind injects, not being supply blocked, creep spread- those are the mechanics while army movement, map control were the other side of your post. Please just stop. I'm not saying stormzerg is a teribbble human and a bronzie. I'm only saying he needs more time to develop. Look at the things he did over these games. He's better than any of us but he would be torn up for those oopsies in code a. This isn't MLG or the NASL. There's no room for forgiveness or mistakes. Boxer can attest to that. 홍진호 화이팅 Yellow fighting!

yellow most likely knew he wasn't actually going to qualify today anyways so props to him for getting to where he did in such a short amount of time... who knows what 3-4 months more of training will accomplish, he definitely has a bright future in this game if he keeps with it ![]()
