Uh... there's really not a difference. I can all but guarantee you his mindset isn't "MVP is great, losing isn't that bad", it's "Holy fuck, I played horribly and donated those games."

He wouldn't be such a tough competitor if he didn't think otherwise.

and on the side of the coin: HuK could've played almost flawlessly but just been outplayed and lost, and he would have felt shame in that as well. Losing hurts.

shame isn't the right word.


its the antonym of pride. losing is the opposite of winning. winning brings pride, losing bring shame. i don't see a problem with the word choice.
