Hmm, odd that Demuslim can compete in this.
Hes living in America at team EG house. Is the same for Rain to. If you are living in America you can play it :D

Yeah didn't pick out Rain, interesting.
Should be some sick games with those two in the mix though, so I'm not complaining.

I'll try to get him to change it.

Hey admin --
Rain is stuck in Raleigh NC at MLG. His flight got cancelled, and the only flight he has available will have him landing on the 30th. I hope he will be back in time for his match, but please be a bit understanding due to this unfortunate circumstance (the hurricane which cancelled flights)
Thanks!

Oh that sucks, I'm sure something can be worked out.
Will there be a chinese stream up that I could use? xD

He SHOULD be back in time
Excellent, games will be going live 1 hour late to accommodate those who are having some troubles with travels though, and EG has two of their members tied down to a show.
Is Dhalism the same guy back in BW from the TLT days?
Unfortunately TT1 has to withdraw from tournament due to doctor obligations. Pride Also failed to show for first match, but will be playing in loser bracket. SKsDhalism all failed to show, and is unknown at this time if he will be showing for loser bracket.
I'm shocked this isn't getting more attention!
Idra, incontrol, axslav, rain, zelniq, and vadar are all playing on one of the streams now.
This is being played live right? Good work guys, more people should be watching this thread. Always nice to see who is the best in each region.
Unfortunately Select had to withdraw from the tournament as he found IEM China does not fit his schedule. He wants to prepare for blizzcon.

mmm looks like IdrA has a bracket so easy he can't gg himself to a loss

sorry for missing this the hurricane mess really scrambled my schedule. Was really hoping this was on a weekend.

Are there, any streams of VODs. I could be blind but can't find anything regarding this...
EDIT: Sorry!! It seems like Im blind

Be sure to tune in tonight guys as we go through winner bracket semi finals featuring Rain and Idra, and the loser bracket matches featuring Demuslim and Axslav!

Optical is no slouch fyi.
That build by Optic there seemed unstoppable with SCV support.
Not unstoppable, but he did a good job denying the scouting. I think Idra made a huge mistake replacing the spines... but he overdroned would have had to cut drones had blings earlier and more lings.
The trouble is you just don't know, Optical could have just as easily moved out and expanded and then Idra is stuck w/ all those extra lings and behind economy. That is always the tough guess... is that all-in coming and if it is you'll be ahead even if you cut economy. If it doesn't come your behind and playing catchup.
It is clear this guy doesn't want to play beyond 10 min mark with Idra, but good for him seemingly having a plan going into this.
Also as a note-- we get it. idra doesn't say gg. why is it always a talking point everytime it happens? Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. We know he doesn't say GG, why are people still surprised by that? Not saying I support not saying gg, but can we not have a discussion on it each time he loses?
lol Idra had get out typed before the guy said gg
Come on bro, really?
that was a suboptimal 2port
Axel, you have a great casting voice. Keep it up.
EG tearin it up this tournament

Gogo Rain !!

However -- while I do like the fact that Rain can qualify for IEM this way, I really prefer last year's regional format leading into a world championship much better than having a ton of global challenges.
Sure, the final world championship will have more koreans and be a better tournament (since Koreans will advance from every global championship), but it loses a lot of the IEM prestige in my opinion. The cool thing about IEM last year was that it was (to me) kinda the WCG of 2010 for SC2... somewhere that literally brought the best of all the regions together.
Is this done off VODs or something? Because the calendar to the right says Idra is also casting the EG Masters Cup...
The games are casted from relpays yes.

holly marine micro from rain on game1 x idra !!!
kind of silly to have regional qualifiers if people from any region can play in them, oh well, its better than last years format where the people sent to the finals from the various regions won the event literally 5 months before the finals, and by the time the finals rolled around there was better top players and/or different metagame.

block that position, make a spine crawler, pull more drones etcetc.

Not silly at all. The ESL system is very consistent, the only thing that counts is place of residence. Everyhing else doesnt make much sense.

Nice strong showing for EG judging from the brackets. Garunteed 3 out of the top 4
Nice to see Idra taking games off a Korean again, after MONTHs
Nice play by IdrA
If he keeps incorporating the infestors into the play like he did during this tournament he'll do just fine. It's not a major tournament or anything, but a win is a win and Rain is a very respectable opponent.

My inner troll gets a snarky grin whenever i see IdrA. GOGO Idra close it out!

now that you quote me I just noticed it picked the wrong idra on the TLPD-ize lol
Rain showed his true colors in that last game. Good win for Idra
FnaticMSI.Rain vs EG.DeMusliM loser bracket finals is live right now!
Gonna find out who will be joining the winner bracket winner in China!
Rain and Idra sitting next to each other on a plane to China would be fun after their few exchanges.
IdrA vs. Rain games any good? Missed them tonight

DeMuslim looking significantly better than Rain in TvT.
I want to see a TT1 vs. Fenix grudge match

demuslim vs idra... going to be tough to watch
Idra vs Demuslim will not be happening. We end the tournament when the last two players are decided.
I dont get it, did demu beat Rain? Im watching Axels stream but its cutting in and out.
It's on the last match of DeMuslim vs Rain right now. Still fairly even.

Can't it at least be a showmatch or exhibition?

EG fighting! Great game by DeMusliM
Good showing against the korean EG. Glad to see DeMu back in shape.

I couldnt watch the stream but happy to hear demuslim won.

Wooop woooop! Didn't watch the games, but awesome to see Demu make it. He's on such a roll recently. gogogo Ben.
Wow, DeMusliM, Rain and Select already American citizens ;-)
Checking out the vods now, pretty cool games.
congrats to idra and demuslim (:
Just watched the vods, EG has to be happy getting the top 2 spots. Even Axslav getting 4th is good. Sucks that incontrol hit both Rain and Axslav so early considering how well those two played this tournament. Good tourny for EG though.
Hey, can anyone write all players already qualified for IEM china? from all regions
Great series between Demuslim and Rain, I recommend watching the VODs.
Demuslim going beast mode. Great games and glad to see he's returning to form.
