your answer is literally a couple posts above

The following is a list of behaviors that will get immediate bans: 1. Whining about stream 2. Bashing other games 3. Flaming other users 4. Bashing players 5. Complaining about imbalance Basically just be respectful. Aside from that, enjoy the games, make sure you bring an umbrella and have some delicious waffles! (#)

How is this a tie? match record. + drg won head to head. But Select has lost less games. So, he is ahead, not? No. DRG beat him, as simple as that. It's like that in every sport. In which sports is it that way? Not in any I follow at least.. Is it perhaps an NA vs EU-thing? Probably look at hockey where they used to sort by goal difference in international tournaments but as of a decade or so they have swapped to h2h sorting. Presumably to appease North Americans. It coincides pretty well with the other efforts to get Americans interested in especially the Olympics.

edit: actually is this a replay? it's a replay. guess that's good for EU people.

Except for the part where the player who does worse in the tournament is rewarded instead of the guy who did better in the tournament. Just thought performance was rewarded is all. I guess MLG doesn't care for that too much.

It's the right system to use and used by pretty much most of the sports in the world. It would be like if Lakers won season series against San Antonio 3-1, but spurs blew out the clippers by more to give them a better point differential, so spurs get seeded ahead of the lakers. Wouldn't make any sense.

It's technically like if the lakers beat San Antonio 2-0 best two out of three and proceeded to lose a least a game against every other team while San Antonio beats everyone else 2-0 showing they dominated the tournament much better than the lakers did, but still given the shaft anyway. But I digress, it's okay that MLG doesn't care. I just wanted to clarify.
