MLG Raleigh Day 1 RED Live Report Thread - Page 244

Forum Index > StarCraft 2 Tournaments

Obligatory public note for all large tournament threads:

The following is a list of behaviors that will get immediate bans:

1. Whining about stream
2. Bashing other games
3. Flaming other users
4. Bashing players
5. Complaining about imbalance.

It is in no way complete. Keep in mind that there's a difference between pointing out that the SC2 and CoD streams were switched and whining about it (same thing on pointing out/asking about stream lag and whining about it, etc.). Also, just because you post something and aren't immediately banned for it doesn't mean you won't get caught. We'll be going through this thread very carefully.

That being said, enjoy today's games!

Time stamp: page 38, 6:23.

Puma and Huk I can see ending up top 8, but I'm not so sure about Demuslim. I'd say 1 or 2 EG players in top 8.

IdrA is most definitely capable of getting top 8 as well.

He should be able to finish second in his pool, also depending heavily on who comes up from the open bracket. After that he isn't going to have to be playing Machine anymore.

The guy's in a slump. Don''t be surprised when he loses to HayprO. It's going to be really close.

What fucking slump is he in?

People have been saying this forever, what was his high point? His performance seems pretty consistently inconsistent to me for the past however many months. He's not suddenly not playing at his peak, this has been his form for a while, it's just everyone else is getting better and he doesn't seem to be doing the same.

Everyone else isn't getting better. The fact they pull a single tourney win every now and then, when no koreans are present, doesn't mean they are doing amazingly better.

Do you think Morrow, Stephano or Dimaga or Nerchio would do better?

The correct answer is no.

Sen at most would do well, but he plays on the Korean servers, so it's logical.

Tons of pros ladder either exclusively or a ton on KR server... off the top of my head drewbie and Kawaiirice do it and (even though I like both of them) they're not taking series in massive LANs against koreans despite having good records on the KR ladder.

The europeans WOULD do better. Look at Stephano against Puma at IEM (first game) if you want to see how to beat korean top pros. Puma only won this series cause of luck and allins

Best soda around.

We have it in Sweden and i've tried it.. IT'S VILE! I don't understand how people can drink it, and even say they like it!

I never met a guy here who likes the drink. Seems very popular in US though. Tastes are different I suppose.

Makes me wanna try, too bad we don't have it in France : <

It won't be the same. Soda taste different in Europe and the US. For example, I like European Coke and dislike European Sprite, but I also like American Sprite and dislike American Coke.

..... Any chance of every 4th post being the equivalent of 'haha EG are doing badly!"

Informative posts are just getting buried, especially for those who don't currently have access to the streams this is just obnoxious

Some guy earlier asked why TLO withdrew, I reiterate this question. The guy couldn't even have his question answered because it's unlikely anybody saw it under the 25 "EG 0-8!" posts that came straight afterward.

Are you serious? Even bashing EG is more informative than explaining, for the 1000th time, why TLO was DQ'd. That has been answered on every page of this thread.

Thanks for taking the time out to reply to the question, and not answer it. Taking the effort to hit 'quote' then type out a reply, while not actually telling me.

That's me told, going to go through 150 pages of EG bashing to find the info now

Any page of this thread. Just look.

What are their ranks? Are they top masters or grandmasters? If not, then they probably aren't facing the pro gamers and if they are, they are the pro gamers that for sure are goofing off on ladder (like nestea, with his glamorous <50% win rate).

Yes they are top masters. Hell even I'm masters on KR and I'm just mid-high masters on EU.

I have a genius idea for MLG. Starts the games on both streams with 30mn delays.
So first game on red is at 10
First game on blue is at 10:30 (and not at 10)
So we'll always have something to watch.

Each time in MLG I have the same hype kill, the 30+ minutes of wait between each game.
If at least htey'd implement a 30m delay between group matches we could have always one match to watch at all time.
45mn of wait and boom, 2 games start at the same time ><

Lol. So much luck in SC2. Man, everytime I hit b then b, I hope it builds a barracks! Sometimes it just builds a Engineering bay. Don't hate the player. Puma played to win. And he won. Whoops.
