The 2011 IEM european Champion currently on the verge of flying over to South Korea to join team-mate Naniwa to live, train and compete in Code A, Sjow finds himself invited into this tournament as a Dignitas Representative. It has one of the most successful European Terran players with incredibly strong tactics and strategies prepared for different players and maps, his smart decision making leaves him assertive and able to instantly jump on any mistakes that his opponent makes.
ToD
Name: Yoan Merlo Game ID: M.ToD Race: Protoss Age: 26 Nationality: French Largest Achievement:1st WCG National Qualifier France
WC3 legend, he holds unbelievable achievements, I welcome non other than ToD. Finally #1 in France after victories against Adelscott and Sarens at the WCG national qualifiers followed by a great ESL pro series victory. Smart and talented, ToD had a successful event at MLG Anaheim managing to defeat Korean protoss Alicia in the openbracket, he has very high goals and personal expectations as his SC2 career deepens.
Stephano
Name: Ilyes Satouri Game ID: M.Stephano Race: Zerg Age: 18 Nationality: French Largest Achievement:3rd Place Assembly Summer 2011
17year old wonder kid! Stephano, known for his close to perfect Zerg vs Terran has been dominating online tournaments for months on end, he took his first large step into the LAN spotlight when he attended HSC3, winning his group with a 2-0 over EG.HuK and managing to finish the tournament in 6th. Shortly after he competed in Assembly where he put his name firmly on the map as one of the best Zergs in Europe. Stephano has so much talent and is a true gem of a player! How will be compete amongst the giants within this tournament?
Kas
Name: Mihaylo Hayda Game ID: Empire.Kas Race: Terran Age: 22 Nationality: Ukrainian Largest Achievement:3rd TSL 3 2011
Kas is well known for his humongous amount of games played on the battlenet ladder, which over time, built an all round solid conservative style with few leaks in his game, this makes it very hard to beat him early and to overcome Kas you will need to out play him. Kas really hit the scene hard when he managed to finish in 3rd place in the TSL! He is one of few players to have won the largest amount of online tournaments, will he be able to add another virtual trophy to his desktop folder?
Dimaga
Name: Dmytro Filipchuk Game ID: mTwDimaga Race: Zerg Age: 24 Nationality: Ukrainian Largest Achievement:1st Place Assembly Summer 2011
Dimaga has been one of the best Zergs in the world for a very long time with a consistent string of good results but very few big victories. Easily one of his largest achievements ever was being the first person to beat Nestea in a Zerg mirror matchup live on television, also during his stay in Korea he went on a roll beating JulyZerg then MVP within the 2011 GSL World Championship. Still without an offline tournament victory, Dimaga attended and dominated Assembly Summer 2011 to land his first large tournament finish.
Socke
Name: Giancomo Thus Game ID: aTn.Socke Race: Protoss Age: 24 Nationality: German Largest Achievement:1st Back to Back SHOUTcraft Invitational wins
Socke is nothing short of amazing, has been regarded as one of the best Protoss players outside of Korea for a while now! During 2011 he has placed well in several tournaments, 4th Assembly Winter, 1st place EPS germany, 2nd WCG germany and 4th IEM cologne, a string of consistent high placing finishes as well as defending his title in Shoutcraft Invitiational. Will this be another excellent result for him?
Strelok
Name: Eugin Oparyshev Game ID: imba.FXOStrelok Race: Terran Age: 26 Nationality: Ukrainian Largest Achievement:1st HD World Tournament
A fantastic player who has not really placed his name of the map with a large tournament win yet, he has won many small online cups but has yet to strike gold offline. Regardless, his precise builds and timing attacks and ability to multi-task makes him a very dangerous opponent to face up against, a slight underdog but never to be under estimated.

Competition Winner Congratulations to WILDD who won our guess the last remaining two players competition!! We will send you a PM for details shortly for you to claim your dignitas prize :D !
CoCaster for the event Today along with all our announcements, we include non surprisingly that Totalbiscuit will be travelling to the Dignitas Office to commentate along his partner in crime, Apollo. Totalbiscuit and Apollo have been working side by side for a while now and are highly rated as one of the better casting archons out there and join forces once again to bring you non stop action, entertainment and banter all day long!
Team Dignitas have put on a guessing game for the remaining two invites where you can win a Team Dignitas QPAD! Go to the Dignitas SCAN Invitational subpage to find out the invites' nationalities and post your two guesses here! Winner will be drawn from all those who guessed both correctly.
Invites and winner will be announced on 11th September!
White-Ra is pretty obvious, it's either him or Strelok and Strelok would be 4th Terran which wouldn't be good for 8 man tournament, so yeah...
Socke is little harder to guess, there are a few German players who could put up a fight to everyone confirmed in this tournament so far, but from all of them, Socke and Darkforce stand out. But I have a feeling, that if you would want to go with 3Z and 2P, you would get Nerchio or Ret or even Sen, so Socke is only one remaining. Also I like Socke.... :D
Hello, everybody! Sorry for the delay of the announcement, as you might know, I was in Spain, commentating for Dreamhack! Everything is back on track, get ready for the FULL announcements later today, remaining two players, competition winners, map pool and ofc the brackets!!
The tournament goes live on Sunday 25th 12pm BRITISH time
Please welcome, Socke and Strelok as the final two invites into the tournament!! Bracket, map pool, competition winner and ofc Totalbiscuit as co-commentator for the event!!
Thumbs up for Scan ♥, always a pleasure buying components and they maintain a good friendly and helpful store in Horwich. Glad they are supporting e-sports!
When I built my new pc I had everything but the SSD from SCAN. Great retailer sponsoring a great game, with great casters and great plays. This event is obviously gonna be great

What other tournaments are they playing during these hours? I think this could have been made live.
Oh well ... still looking forward to it, but hard to get hyped on replays.
another invite tournament... it's getting pretty boring. go hold qualifiers -.- i'm tired of all the same formats and all the same players all the time.
Hey, just wanted to say thank everyone for watching. The tournament was a success and something that we definitely will do again and it should hopefully grow in the future as well maybe even offline
Some details from the stream; during the day we had 143,633 unique viewers in total with a peak of 10254 which is a lot better than projected so everyone including the sponsors of the tournament are happy.
