But I wonder why they did a live event with audience for europe while doing a studio thing for south america. PS: This is not meant is whine. Just wondered. Its a great production. But why not have an audience? Half of the players in this invitational are not very famous on the community, maybe the big production was not worth at all =/

But why not have an audience? That is because they are playing at Blizzard HQ as far as I know. The reason for that is that LA is not a single country and there is HUGE buroucracy to get Visas and do anything. So it's not like the LA fans could travel (and money is a big problem as well of course). So instead of paying expensive for a live event in Brazil or Mexico where only people from that country would be able to participed, they decided to make it in US and stream to everyone and that's it! So more money to the champion or whoever.

But why not have an audience? The EU event was held by ESL, not Blizzard. They properly couldn't get a partner to do the US/LA event. And blizzard properly don't have the capacity to have a big live audience at their HQ.
